This is the place where we (Sixer fans, and others too) will post statistics on the games at hand. discuss play-by-play action when available, and just mainly talk about the game(s) overall.

I will try to keep up with this thread and provide statistics for every game, if I miss a game, feel free to fill in yourself.

Most of all, Let's go Sixers!!!

Game 1, Season Opener! Win Over Miami Heat!

Our first game, and season opener was against the Miami Heat and we won! Yay! This game celebrated the 100th time that Allen and Eric have been on the court together and playing. I was thinking we were going to get this one, however we had lost to them in the preseason so anything was possible, but I was around 80% sure. This game kind of proved that we can win without Glenn and Todd, which is a huge plus for us, as they are core players. So here go the stats:

Box Score

Final Score:
Heat: 74
Sixers: 89

Scoring Leaders:
Allen Iverson: 26 pts. (9/25 fg%)
Kenny Thomas: 15 pts. (6/10 fg%)
Derrick Coleman:10 pts. (3/8 fg%)

Rebounding Leaders:
Kenny Thomas: 7 reb. (3 off., 4 def.)
Allen Iverson: 5 reb. (1 off., 4 def.)
Derrick Coleman: 5 reb. (1 off., 4 def.)

Assists Leaders:
Allen Iverson: 11 ast.
Eric Snow: 6 ast.
John Salmons: 4 ast.

Steals Leaders:
Allen Iverson: 5 stl.
John Salmons: 2 stl.
Eric Snow: 1 stl.

The whole night went by beautifully, as every season opener should. Allen was wild tonight, getting a double-double, and 5 steals! I would say our whole team played a great ball game, we had five players in double figures (points wise). Even one of our rookies looked promising, Willie Green. Yup, that's right, the guy shined yet again, he is looking like a real steal from the draft and will be a great player in a couple of years. The only bad thing(s) were that we missed out on Glenn, who will be gone for two more games, and Eric having an off night (0-5), and only 1 point. I'm sure he'll pick it up. I really have nothing much more to say except "Happy 100th AI and Snow!"
