<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Everyone knows the Sixers need toughness and size on their front line. It's even more clear that 'Sheed needs a community that can understand and accept him. If he's not embraced in his hometown of Brotherly Love, he won't be loved anywhere. Hard as it is to imagine Randy Ayers coping with Allen Iverson and 'Sheed in the same locker room -- given the questions already floating about Ayers' handling of AI and (more specifically) Derrick Coleman -- this would be a dream signing for Philly. And then if the Sixers can somehow get Mo Cheeks away from the Blazers...</div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/stor...marc&id=1694392 The sixers are listed as "Sheed bidders" and seems that they may offer Kenny Thomas+some one for Rasheed. Philadelphia Inquirer reports "a philosophical difference" between forward Kenny Thomas and coach Randy Ayers has resulted in Thomas watching more action from the bench than usual.Kenny only played 29 minutes yesterday. Atleast if this trade happens then we get more Height.
I would love to see Sheed as a sixer, because i am a sixer fan also (hence the "76" in my name). However I am a Blazer fan first, and dont want to see him go. Philly would be ideal for Sheed, because he would be the best offensive big man in the ease, and wouldn't need to score any more than he wants to because he would have AI.
Yeah, the team would be scary on the paper but will AI,Big Dog and Rasheed get well along?that's a big question.
If we were to attain Rasheed, I believe we would need to give up a player with Glenn's popularity. So I believe that he would go instead of Kenny. With that said, Portland would offer Zach a chance to shine, it's a risky situation. The trade with Kenny and another player, is not enough, at least in my eyes. Kenny is good, but not as good as 'Sheed, that's basically what they would be getting, Kenny for 'Sheed, because the other guy would be warming the bench. Another thing, offering Coleman and someone else is a stupid move, Coleman has been in the league for quite some time, and wouldn't offer the Blazers anything. Not happening.
Damn this is a huge surprise for me, and I hope we get Sheed. I would say do what ever it takes to get him because he will be GREAT with AI. I think he really isn't that bad of a person, they just hate him for his past actions. But I would LOVE for Sheed to come to Philly... it would be more than great... And yes that line up would look scary. AI-Robinson-Sheed...and I think Dalembert would start, not sure.

Even if we trade Glenn, I think it would be a great move to get Rasheed Wallace.
If we were to trade Glenn, and get 'Sheed, then we would have a very strong post presence in 'Sheed and Derrick, with Marc coming off the bench. Another factor in this situation is the atttitude, how will they cope together, all three of them. All three are known to have bad attitude problems, and that could shake up the hardwood floors in the city of Brotherly Love. If they were to shut up, and focus on basketball first, then I believe we would be a force to be reckoned with.
If we get Rasheed or not I think Billy King is the second best GM in the League now and I respect his moves.

It was 4. AM in the morning and I was tired so I forgot Joe,Billy is 3rd best after Jerry West and Joe Dumars
Forget Sheed's attitude, Philly needs to win. If they would have to give up Glenn Robinson, then let it be. They need a post presence, however, if they did not have to give up G-Rob this could be a steal, and that would make Philly's lineup scary. However, as of now getting players isn't the key to winning, staying healthy is.
