<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">WHILE THE WARRIORS are still a work in progress, many of their long-suffering fans are starting to believe that the club has the makings of a playoff team. As hard as that may be to comprehend, take a look at what's going on in the Western Conference: The Midwest is the most loaded division in the NBA, but in the Pacific, there are only the two powerhouse teams, the Lakers and Kings, who are automatic playoff participants. Portland, Seattle, and the Phoenix Suns are all vulnerable, and that gives the Warriors some hope. Of course they're going to have to look better than they did Sunday night in Denver, when they followed up impressive wins over the Lakers and Kings with a stinker against the Nuggets. The two exciting wins last week in Oakland however, have given this mostly veteran club an extra boost of confidence heading into this week's long road trip.</div> http://www.sfexaminer.com/templates/story....3003sp_macgowan
I'm glad the bay area is getting excited. Warriors have such a rich history...the fans deserve more than what they have gotten the last couple of years.. btw, off-topic, but I depise the SF Giants and their fans.

I hate them and SF Niner fans. Anyways, I agree, the bay area deserves it. This is the only bball team here, and we have such loyal fans.
Yeah, it's good to see. I think that they are a playoff team also. They have the makings to compete in the rugged West.

Ahh..I'm a 49er/Laker/Giant fan, a huge fan of all. Now to get back on topic, I think Warriors are playoff bound, but they could be serious contenders if they just got that one more player. That lineup is solid, and bothered by injuries, but immagine if they a Rasheed Wallace(who was mentioned in the rumor)...Warriors could be amazing. I like their lineup now, but I don't seem to have a lot of faith in them, they'll beat the great teams, and then lose to worser teams. Have to stay consistent to make this playoff run.

Rudeezy, Well, our commonality ends there. I am a big time Giants/49ers fan and hate the A's and Raiders...down with Al Davis!
