Kobe will go down as one of the 5 best players to ever play (MJ, Shaq, Kobe are all in the top 5). You got--Jordan-the best ever, Shaq- most dominant ever, and Kobe-who can make whatever he wants out of himself (example 18 points in the 4th quarter last night)

I don't like the fact that you bring his personal life into the question. MJ had personal problems, maybe not as big as Kobe's, but he got divroced and all kinds od stuff. I think that if Kobe works hard enough and fights through everything, He can become one of the top 10 if not top 5 players of all time. But really, there is no greatest player! You can't compare all of the players, because there is 5 positions on a basketball court so the judging per position is much different. If not in the top 5 of all-time he probably is automatically in the top 5 SG's of AT. No Doubt!

no. there is no way kobe will be the greatest player ever. I can name 5 players in 5 seconds that are greater then he could possibley be
    1. Wilt Chamberlein
    2. Michael Jordan
    3. Larry Bird
    4. Magic Johnson
    5. Bill Russell.

i can think of 5 players right now greater then him
    1. Shaquille O'Neal
    2. Tim Duncan
    3. Jason Kidd
    4. Kevin Garnett
    5. Karl Malone

    so the answer is NO!

hes not even the greatest player playing right now, how could he possibley be the greatest ever?

Kobes numbers arent really taking him away from any other player it looks simalier but he does play on the lakers with shaq last year and with the hof's this year. T-mac and Kobe are the same to me talent wise basically maybe kobe a lil better. I dont think Kobe will ever be the greatest to play the game Jordan will remain the best of all time forever! How about no.2? lol

No reasons why? This is just amazing how the topic got started anyway, a guy in his 8th year being talked about possibly the best ever? Give him some time, let him at least start to break other records before this is brought up. There are too many players like a Kobe right now to to call him possibly the best ever.

WOW, that's a pretty big statement to make considering you didn't give any reasons why besides the obvious.
