well, first off, KG did this same thing last year, but got edged out. This year, he damn near perfected it (seasons still going). Put it like this, take away t-mac, the magic still blow all those games. Take away KG (GOD forbid) and the t-wolves fall off like a ********* lookin for a fix. I think Garnett has done the most to elevate his team to where they are.

    Garnett for President!!

Because KG does everything everyone does, he shoots, he passes, he rebounds, he blocks shots, he steals the ball *typically a guard category, but he does it as good as most guards in the league*, he can shoot the three, he can post up, he can drive, if you leave him open anywhere on the court he will make the shot 95% of the time, no matter where he is, i know some good guards that cant do that. he leads the league in efficiency rating, he has the highest "how many points your team scores while your in the game versus how many they do when your on the bench" rating

    anyways on to the awards

    MVP - Kevin Garnett

How bout Dolan for giving the Wolves Spree? Woo Dolan, but seriously, could it be anyone but McHale?

    Sixth Man
Troy Hudson when he gets healthy again

    Most Improved
I cant believe that some sports writers have said that KG might be a candidate, he improved a lot, but he was the best player in the NBA last year too so he cant have improved that much,

Zach Randolph!. i dont really care bout this award anyways.

I think you are way too caught up in your Timberwolves. For one, there is no way Cassell deserves to be on the NBA First Team. He has had a good year don't get me wrong however to argue that he has had a better year than someone like Paul Pierce is just ludacris.

Another thing is how can you have Darko listed as on the all rookie first team? He has played a total of 28 minutes this entire year. I would pick just about any rookie so far over Darko. Some people that deserve to be considered that you left off are Josh Howard, Dwayne Wade, Kirt Hinirich, etc.

We are doing the awards up to this point so mentioning Hudson as a 6th man canidate is beyond me.

    PF-Kevin Garnett
    SF-Mike Madsen
    SG-Ron Artest

Vince Carter, he's not the best, but I admit ever since his return from the injury he has improved. I just don't want him to enter the SD Contest, he has nothing to prove. Keep his knees intact.

Wade plays the majority of his minutes at SG during the game, but starts at the point. Alston plays the most minutes at PG for the Heat.

Thanks guys then I'll have them both in my First Team. I also put Gooden under my Most Improved, he has amazing heart and tenacity, the mind and soul of a serious baller. He plays great while remaining in the zone, in terms of thinking. He'd never over-exert himself unlike VC did many years ago. He's very deserving of that honor and I hope he gets far in the NBA.

For what exactly? all NBA first team? I hope not...I love Wade's game but he is not ready to be put there. If you mean rookie team then yes Wade is a lock for that..However Jamal Crawford is not a rookie nor does he deserve anywhere close to the all NBA team.

As for most improved..Gooden is a good player but he hasn't improved that much if at all.

I'm a bit confused by some of your picks.

dude everyone is always praising KG and his D , look how many ppl have them on their All-NBA Defensive Team...also go check "the best defender" thread and ull see how many ppl are praising KG's D.

However most of u dont even mention TD...let me tell u guys something u probably didnt know , Duncan is a 5 time All-NBA Defensive 1st teamer...meaning he has been selected 5 straight yrs since he entered the league.Yet none of u guys even consider him in there...sometimes I wonder if u guys watch bball [IMG] . I mean come on , how the hell do u not mention TD in a "best defender " conversation , and how do most of yall not have him on ur defensive teams?...just plain and simply unexcusable!

I think everyone fully understands Duncan's defensive ability... He is right up there... but when you compare him to the versitility of Garnett and AK47 who can play guys inside, and outside... Duncan just cant match. Granted, if I was to have a guy gaurd a final play in the post I would take Duncan, but then again, I would take Ben Wallace over him. Duncan is easily a top 5 defender in my book, just not a top 3.

McGrady vs Garnett is no competition this year... and I can't even believe you brought that up. You clearly are more bias than me. Not only are Garnett stats better... but the record is better. So their is clearly no clear cut way you can argue McGrady's worth over Garnett's. Its just that simple.

Crawford is in his 4th year in the league, so he is ineligible for ROY and the all-rookie first team. And you have Bosh down twice for the Rookie Team. Maybe you meant Carmelo one of those times?

IM surprised I only seen AI in the first team like 2 or 3 times. He leading the league in scoring, steals, minutes per game, and HE was leading in free throws attempted, free throws made, Field Goals attempted and made but he missed like 9 games so thats gone.

I know Duncan is a good defender. It's hard for me to watch him go against my Wolves because I know it will be a close game because of him on both ends of the floor. But he isn't a better defender than Garnett. I would like to see Duncan guard a point guard at the top of the key. But I guess you have your opinions, and I have mine.

I will go as far as to say he is the 2nd best post defender in the league (behind Big Ben) however I do not think he is a better "overall" defender than Andrei Kirilenko and Kevin Garnett. They get on my list because of their versatility to defend not only the wing but the block as well.

You are right it is a shame that Tim Duncan was not mentioned in the best defensive player thread. He is a solid basketball player all around and a great post defender.

IMO, I think KG and AK47 deserve to be recognized on the first defensive team over Duncan right now however that is just me.
