What Happened to Ronald Murray???????? He was the talk of the NBA a month ago and now hes disseapeared!!!! Is he still playing well over their in Seattle or is he playing the way he did against the raps a few weeks back when he had 4 pts and the raptors won??????
^^Nate was annoyed with Murray's lack of defense play. And yes, Ray is back, but still playing limited minutes (around 25mpg). Murray still plays a significant role, and I believe still has about 18ppg.
What happened? Here's what happened: Make a pot of soup. For seasoning, add a dash of Ronald Murray, a cup of Ray Allen, and a tablespoon of Rashard Lewis. I guess he got lost in the mix.
Exactly what TB76 said. His lack of defense and sometimes sloppy ballhandling were his undoing as a starter, plus the fact that Ray's back means he's used as a impact scorer in the second unit.
It was inevitable that he was going to come off the bench when Ray came back... but since he fell of a little bit it probably ridded of some controvesy that he should be starting.
He's been benched for quite some time already, even before Ray was back. Coach ain't happy with his (lack of) defense and apparently, he's a really selfish scorer so it kinda takes away the team concept of the offense.
Lets not get it twisted here, if he can log in good minutes, he could be a good scoring threat off the bench that could really spark the Sonics.
I actually like the way he's been played now. Not getting too much minutes, so that he can concentrate on scoring as the spark off the bench. He's one heck of a scorer IMO, so of course he deserves (some) minutes.

(when Ray did come back).
Flip is too small- 6'4" to play decent minutes at the 2 only. Maybe the Sonics will try to develop his PG skills and leave the aging Brent Barry unprotected in the expansion draft and hope Charlotte takes him.
Brent Barry IS probably going to be picked up by somebody. I mean have you seen the guy shoot? I think Ronald Murray's a pretty good scorer...was he that selfish? (<--didn't noticed...) give me his apg and I'll see for sure that he was selfish.
Didn't play much until this year, but he's averaged 3.1 assists on the season, and totals 90 this year. [ Murray's NBA.com Stat Page ]
A million teams will be trying to get Brent before the deadline, doubt Seattle will just leave him for Charlotte to take. You never know, though.
