Utah Jazz rookie center Ben Handlogten, who has been solid in limited action, will miss the remainder of the season with a torn left ACL.

Ben was getting more and more minutes as the season went on, and he deserved them. He was putting up good numbers when he had some minutes. Utah are working out with Slarko Varnes right now, who NY just waived, so he'll probably be signed and/or Ruffin will be activated.

Im pretty sure that was it, he was hobbling when he made that lay up, and didn't get back on D because he couldn't. He sustained an injury at that point, and I don't think he got another one in that game.

This is quite a significant loss. Ben was very efficient. He was developing into a pretty good player and was great on the boards. With Tag out right now and Ben out for the season, our already depleted Big Man situation, just got worse

Don't forget Curtis Borchardt. Our only healthy big men right now are AK47 and Jarron Collins [IMG] .

Yep, and I wouldn't even classify AK as a "big man"

This sucks. He had proved he can ball in this L, and was starting to settle into his role for the team, and now this! Damn.

Well it turns out the Jazz did not sign Varnes. They felt he was too raw to contribute at this point. Look for them to make a move to add a big man to their team. Deals and aquisitions could start happening tomorrow.

They've signed Paul Grant, but they should make another move. At this stage I'd say a quick fix trade that will help in the short term but not long term is unlikely as Utah are rebuilding right now.
