I think he's playing good, we could use him and Steve Nash in Toronto though!

I think Jamaal(2 a's) is a very promising young center, something Hornets management has seemed to have quite an eye for, picking up guys like Magloire, Brad Miller and Jerome Moiso over the past five years.

Jamaal isn't a guy who creates for himself, however, and his statistics show that by being considerably better when Baron Davis is in the lineup than when he is not. That's not necessarily a bad thing, since it lets him be effective while still letting the ball run through BDiddy(and Mash when he's healthy), but it also puts a ceiling on how high he can develope.

How high that is can still be pretty impressive, perhaps averages of 15-16 ppg and 10-11 rpg, plus a couple of blocked shots. The Hornets have a lot of stock pinned on him, and probably have foreseen these type of numbers as well.

Remember, they pride themselves on being a big team that can bang, and Elden Campbell was a big, perhaps the biggest, part of that. And Jamaal Magloire's development into a starting-caliber center is what allowed the Hornets to part with Campbell for cheap.

With a few more seasons, Magloire might become a pretty good player of all-star status.

He might have been, in the East. In the West, I'm not so sure, now that Yao is emerging. Brad Miller and Kandi are also potential All-star centers Magloire will have to compete with for a berth. But he could, you never know.

He has a lot of potential to be a great rebounder and shot blocker, and has some decent offensive moves, which, combined with Baron Davis' court awareness, could result in lots of points in the future for Magloire. Great inside out combo for New Orleans for the future.
