Guard Dajuan Wagner (knee) and center DeSagana Diop (knee) both practiced on Monday for the first time since undergoing surgery, the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reported. Wagner's right knee surgery was on November 4, and Diop's right knee operation was on December 4. "It felt good to practice," Wagner said. "It was good to get back out there." Both players could be back as soon as next Tuesday when the Cavaliers host the Knicks.

    OUR VIEW

Diop doesn't hold much fantasy interest, but Wagner is worth keeping an eye on. Dajuan has played only 47 since becoming the sixth overall selection in the 2002 draft. He has the ability to post decent points and steals, but it remains to be seen what his role will be this season.

I think with wagner and diop back we will be a playoff team who will contend for 7th or 8th seed. Unless the team Falls apart.

This team doesn't need another top 4 pick. Half the roster is composed of people who have been in the league for 3 years or less. You don't win games and make the playoffs by continuely getting younger and more inexperienced.

Besides, the Bobcats are already guaranteed the 4th pick, and if the Cavs don't end up better than the Bulls, Hawks, and Wiz, then something went horribly wrong between now and the end of the season.

The problem is not talent, ask the Dallas Mavericks about that. The problem is turnovers, freethrow shooting, and a lack of getting to the line and drawing fouls. They also need to communicate better on both sides of the ball, talk!

If they fix this, they will win. The Cavs are only losing on an average of 3 points a game.

Yeah, the rumors says that Wagner could be back at thuesday, and I really hope so, because then we don't just beat Knicks, but we beat them really hard to:)
I would say we'll win againt Knicks anyway now, because Allan Houston and Keith Van Horn is injured (don't know if they are going to play, but i don't think so, and if they will, they are going to play bad:))

Awesome. I have been waiting for Wagner to come back the whole season. The average fan doesn't know what a offesive monster this guy can be.

And Diop coming back is something to care about. The guy was doing well. Blocking shots and rebounding. Draining jumpers from 18 feet. Don't try and tell the Cavs aren't missing that.

I really want to see how him & lebron mesh they are similar players. They both can run the point but are not really point guards. They are more of 2 guards. And they both play better with the ball in their hands creating their own shot. And shots for their teammates. If they are going to develope into the starting back court the Cavs hope they will, one of these guys will have to learn how to play off the ball. And develope a spot jumpshot. But they are both excellent players with alot of room for growth. And its going to interesting to see how they grow together. Hopefully, Wagner wont miss long periods of injury time in his carreer anymore.

well, Dajuan Wagner scored 100 points in a High-School game once, so he's pretty good in offense:)
