<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Warriors power forward Troy Murphy acknowledged that the team has issues right now. He didn't say what they were, but he admitted there's more than meets the eye in the Warriors' recent stretch of a handful of resounding defeats.

``I think we have to take care of some things and regain our competitive edge,'' Murphy said after the Warriors' 88-70 loss to New Jersey on Wednesday.

The Warriors have lost four consecutive games on the road by an average margin of 19.8 points.

Clifford Robinson has been harping on consistency in the past few weeks, and he was at it again after this loss.

``I've said it every time: consistency,'' he said. ``You can't win a couple of games and think everything is going to come easy after that. We won two big games against the Lakers and Sacramento.

``But you go on the road, teams are going to know you just had two big wins. You think they're going to relax? C'mon. We don't understand what it takes to be good.''</div>

You could just sense that there was something going on behind closed doors. This team just looks out of it. I really hope they can resolve these issues quick or get rid of the cancer via a trade.

Not good, they need to get rid of this and start playing some ball. Murphy is right, you can't win a couple games against possibly the 2 best teams in the league, then go off and lose to worse teams. Warriors have to be consistent if they want to see the playoffs this season, I hope the Warriors do make a trade, because I'm not too sure if I should have faith in this lineup right now, something looks shaky.

ya, i agree.. i think the roles of nick and murph are two issues the team is dealing with... also, muss's strategy and coaching techniques are being questioned (open offense and nick)

IMO, this is more of a team issue than an individual one. It's possible to point to certain players, namely NVE, for the lack of effort and whatnot, but it's just not happening on both sides of the court. I didn't feel an urgency to see a change via trade because it's just been the Warriors inconsistency, as a team, that has been dissappointing. I guess we'll wait and see.

I see your point Kensaku. Making a trade right now might even hurt this team and its chemistry. I guess only time will tell.

Up to this point, the problem's been kept behind closed doors mostly... we just know that it's something to do with Nick probably.

I don't understand why teams feel the public needs to know every little problem that goes on behind closed doors...it only escalates the problems.

Yeah and puts more pressure for the gm to make a hastily made trade. We need healthier power forwards, point guards, and a backup center.
