I heard he may return to the game in San Antonio... although I doubt that will happen.

The Answer is likely to return this Monday.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Allen Iverson, who's missed the 76ers' last seven games because of a bruised right knee, is expected to return to the lineup Monday when the team plays host to Milwaukee.

76ers coach Randy Ayers told The Philadelphia Inquirer that Iverson, the NBA's leading scorer, worked out Tuesday night and again Wednesday and that his knee endured the workouts.

"He's doing OK," Ayers told The Inquirer. "Right now he's scheduled to go on Monday. I think all along that was our target date with Allen."

Iverson is averaging 28.9 points, 6.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds for the 14-18 76ers. He also is playing 43.7 minutes per game.

Iverson was hurt in a game against Chicago on Dec. 4, when he slipped and hit the court hard. Iverson finished the game but said the knee started to swell on the team's flight and has bothered him since.

The 76ers' 80-72 loss at Houston on Wednesday was their fourth straight, all on the road. Philadelphia is 4-7 this season with Iverson out of the lineup.

"You always want him to come back sooner," Ayers told The Inquirer. "But I wasn't going to rush him back. I think Allen really felt that the injury was a little more severe than he initially thought, to be honest with you. Allen has battled back and played through pain an awful lot."</div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">HOUSTON - Randy Ayers received a favorable report from Philadelphia yesterday on Allen Iverson's recovery from a bruised right knee, and said he remains on target to rejoin the 76ers for Monday's game against Milwaukee.

The Sixers coach said that Iverson worked out Tuesday night and again yesterday and that his knee got through the workouts without a problem.

"He's doing OK," Ayers said before last night's game between the Sixers and the Houston Rockets. "Right now he's scheduled to go on Monday. I think all along that was our target date with Allen."

Ayers refuted reports on the Internet and on talk radio that Iverson was taking his time to come back because he didn't want to go out West.

"That surprises me," the coach said. "I don't understand that. It's hard for me to comment on things that people say, that I don't think have any truth behind them. I don't understand it.</div>

Boy is that a relif. The best thing about it is that the article said he went threw 2 practice's and he has NO PROBLEMS with the knee. Thats means Philly is going to be number 1 in the Atlantic division again. Its just scary looking at the standings and see that Philly and Knicks have just about the same record. [IMG]

So, what you are saying is that if he (Allen) does good in a practice, then we automatically get the first seed in our division. Haha.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">PHILADELPHIA -- Allen Iverson will return to the Philadelphia 76ers' lineup Monday after missing 10 games with a bruised right knee.

"It's not 100 percent, but I think it's well enough for me to play," Iverson said.

The NBA's leading scorer practiced with the Sixers on Sunday for the first time since before the team left on a five-game road trip. Iverson did not accompany the team, staying behind for treatment.

"I was strong in the beginning of practice," Iverson said. "At the end, it kind of got a little weak and tired."

Iverson's condition will be monitored at the end of every quarter against Milwaukee, but there was no limit on the number of minutes he might play, coach Randy Ayers said.
