<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Henacy:</div><div class="quote_post">by Juany, are you referring to Dajaun Wagner. Has he even step on the court yet this year? It would be fun but their are alot of players more deserving than him like Jiri Welch & Prince. Flip Murray( I dont know how everyone forgot about him),Mehet Okur, his own teamate Carlos boozer. They all deserve to go before him. </div> yeah, he hasn't play this year. like i said, it was speculative -that's why i had yao. i don't see any soph PG to put against tj ford. i did put boozer in, he's a stud. i'm sure the coaches will vote lebron in for the allstar (or the league, or nike)
now, an according to the rules and taking into account injuries, performance etc; teams will be: sophs: frank williams (he's just killing in ny), boozer, amare, butler and prince rookies: lebron (if he's not voted in, 4th among east guards so far) wade, ford, bosh and melo. and with these teams, the rookies should win by a mile.
It would be fun to see LeBron go to the All-Star Game, I do think he should be highly considered for a spot on the roster with the way he has been playing lately, but like others mentioned in this topic, I want to see James and Carmelo on the same team(rookies), that would be great for basketball.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Wizk4nyc15:</div><div class="quote_post">what about Ginobili, he is a sophmore i believe and no here mentions him.</div> GINOBILLI SUCKS!!! just joking It is kind of sad that he isn't mentioned, he is one of the main reasons the spurs are doing well this year. And if anyone does fantasy leagues they know this guy is one of the more efficient players out there
It's not a disrespect to Manu, he was injuerd most of his rookie season and has played like an NBA veteran. He is a star in my books, it is easy to see how he got "lost". Manu will be there, my fault for only putting a few minutes in my research, it's more than what I seen anyone else do.
Well, to me, Manu really isn't a sophomore, in several respects. Like Yao, he had played in professional leagues before the NBA. Of course, yeah, he is technically a sophomore in the league, though. I want to see him there - he's one of my favorite players.
Ok, I believe I fixed this people I am leaving Butler on because he had an amazing rookie season, leading all fellow rooks in scoring. Yes he has had a down year, but only because of injuries. He has had some decent games lately and I look for him to have a much better month in January. I am starting Murray just to help give the backcourt more size, he deserves to start anyways over Dixon. Look at this talent people, amazing, unreal. 2002 Roster PG: Ronald Murray SG: Jiri Welsch SF: Emanuel Ginobili PF: Carlos Boozer C: Amare Stoudemire Caron Butler Mike Dunleavy Drew Gooden Tayshaun Prince Casey Jacobsen Gordan Giricek Juan Dixon Dajuan Wagner* (Maybe, has a month to put up some good games) Yao Ming will be in the All-Star Game. 2003 Roster PG: LeBron James SG: Dwyane Wade SF: Carmelo Anthony PF: Chris Bosh C: Chris Kaman T.J. Ford Kirk Hinrich Jarvis Hayes Luke Ridnour Josh Howard Kyle Korver Udonis Haslem If James makes the All-Star game.... Boris Diaw, Jason Kapono, Zarko Cabarkapa, or Steve Blake can be looked at.
I hope James doesn't make it into the allstar game No disrespect but I want to see the 2003-2004 starting lineup play together as a team. We could be looking at a lineup of future allstars/superstars playing with each other. And it will be probably the first and last time we see Carmelo and James play together. James will be unselfish the whole game feeding it to everyone else.
I really hope Boozer, Wagner and LeBron will play in sophomore against rookie, then I'll watch the whole thing, but if not, I'll drop it
Well, we never know. If neither make it to the All Star Game next year, we could be looking at Melo and Bron in the Sophomore game. And trouble lurks for the sophomores. Ginobili got hurt, today...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Wizk4nyc15:</div><div class="quote_post">what about Ginobili, he is a sophmore i believe, and no one here mentions him.</div> you are absolutely right. it must be that ppl just don't think of him as a second year player. definitely deserves to be on the team. another one that hasn't been mentioned and should be there at least as a reserve is nene. had a solid rookie year and is posting slightly improved numbers this year.
NBA All-Star Roookie Game - question... is lebron playing for sure?? i know last year since yao got selected to all star game he didnt play in the rookie game.. but i heard that this year its a new rule that no matter what you have to play in the rookie game even if u get selected to the all star game... anyone know if this is true?
<font color="Red">merged by KJ</font> Boy how things turn. Butler is playing like crap still, I wonder what in the world is wrong with him. He stands no chance of being in this game with that stuffed rookie class. Rumors are that Wade won't be selected either has he has missed a lot of time due to injury. James is on an all star path and he has the numbers to back it up, though I would hate not seeing him play with Melo. If he does onlt miss 2 games with this ankle inhury and keeps his scoring over 20 points till the selections, I believe he will be picked. Yao will be picked to backup (or spot start if he is hurt) Shaq easily, so he is out of the picture. I think Barbosa will find a spot too.
LeBron will make the AST. Apparently I would rather watch him play for the Rookie team. It would be good for James to be an All-Star. Boost more confidence into this kid.
I'm thinking Lebron will make the ASG, and Yao definitely will. So my teams would be rookie c - Chris Kaman pf - Chris Bosh sf - Carmelo Anthony sg - Dwyane Wade pg - T.J. Ford Kirk Hinrich Jarvis Hayes Zarko Cabarkapa Boris Diaw Leandro Barbosa Josh Howard Kyle Korver soph c - Carlos Boozer pf - Amare Stoudemire sf - Tayshaun Prince sg - Manu Ginobili pg - Flip Murray Mike Dunleavy Nene Jiri Welsch Caron Butler Drew Gooden Gordan Giricek Casey Jacobson
I don't think Giricek deserves to make the Sophmore team, he has had a really bad season so far. I do think that Bogans deserves to be on the Rookie team though.
<u>sophs</u> flip, ginobili ,boozer, amare, yao <u>rooks</u> bron(barbosa),melo(hinrich),ford, wade, Bosh - kind of a small lineup but who else are you gonna put on there?? brackts is if bron and melo start in all star game
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PacerB53:</div><div class="quote_post">Yao and LeBron probobly won't be playing. They both are probobly going to the All-Star Game.</div> That's too bad, I wanna see Yao and LeBron dominate the rookie vs. sophmore game. note:second time Yao hasn't played in the rookie vs. sophmore game.
