Yeah Mcdyess needs to go. Injury has keep him from reaching his full skill level. But Knicks fans are starting to get tired of waiting. I think if he doesnt start producing or gets traded real soon thing are going to start to get real ugly for him at the Garden. Similar to what happen to Eisley when he got booed & lost his starting job shorty after. I see the same thing happening to Mcdyess. My question is who would take Mcdyess? He is way to big of a risk because of his consistent injury problems. I think thats why Dever gave him to the Knicks for Camby 2 years ago. Everybody felt the Knicks got a steal. but I think Kiki knew Mcdyess had weak ankles & he wouldnt never really ever recover from the injury he had the season before he got traded. He knew Mcdyess would keep injuring the same leg.

It's a real shame, McDyess was sort of the heart of the current knicks, losing Artest, that's gotta hurt and gaining a sub-par rebounder when you already have J. O'neil. A real darn shame.

THere is no way the pacers would give away artest for Mcdyess. It would be one of the worst trades of the last 10 years.

Even if it was fair from a talent perspective, the Pacers are already struggling to find PT for Al Harrington. Why give up one of the league's best 2-way players for chemistry issues?

For the Knicks to get Artest a third team would need to be involved.

yea.....get mcdyess out of there...I would keep Kurt Thomas though....He does a lot of good things on the court....score, rebound, take the charge.....he can play....package mcdyess wit on of thos point guards and take what u can get...hopefully they keep kurt...he can play!

I can't see Artest being moved for any of those players. Like Rocko said, it would have to be a 3rd team in the deal, you have to get a quality reliable player in return. Artest is a hard guy to replace, one of the best defenders in ths league.

I still think McDyess will rebound. He's been looking good lately from what I'm seeing in the paper lately. He's getting a good 10-15 points a night.
