Thats a great trade!! Toronto also has another trade to do, because Lamond Murray asked to be traded as soon as possible. Toronto is starting to make good progress, and making good trades to help the team. I think we need another Centre when we trade Murray. We might package in some more players to get a starting center. Maybe Theo Ratlif, or Tony Battie.

This is a good trade!!! Maybe Archibald will play good here and turn into a concitent player that can help the team.

I have watched Robert Archibald play for 4 years at Illinois and I am a big fan. I hope to see him get some playign time here, and to succeed.

Lol...im not sure about that Kid. I say it's a good trade only if O'Neil lets Archibald play enough minutes to improve his game and not judge him based on 2 or 3 performances like Moiso. Still...we weren't even playing Bateer or Van de Hare at all so GOOD TRADE.

btw...does anyone have any stats from Archibald and his team when he played in Illinois?

oui im really pleased that they did it. Bateer didnt have a really big function in the team and didnt achieve much. Maybe he'll be better at magic.

    Hi my Canadian friends,

I would just like to introduce myself and soon you will probably hear from the rest of my mates.

I am one of Robert Archibalds former teammates from his early days back in Scotland, myself and and six others made a pack when he left for the States as a skinny 17 year old that when (not if) he made it to the NBA would would go and seem him his first season. Well what seemed an empty promise(threat) over six years ago came to fruition in March of last year when we all headed off to Memphis for one of our now famous tours.

During one long week of non stop drinking and partying, we managed to get ourselves on live TV twice, one being interviewed on a breakfast TV show, we met Isaac 'Chef' Hayes, hung out with Shane Battier and his wife, once we were finished with him he was throwing up on Beale Street!! We also made the front page of their local newspaper.

Hopefully now Tree (his nickname from Dunfermline Reign) has stopped his whistle stop tour of the USA and we can now start planning our next tour to Toronto.

It is good to hear that you guys are going to give him a chance, no-one is going to prove themselves with only 2 mins at the end of games when you are either already winning or getting stuffed. He won't light up the floor with 20 points a night but he will battle for everything and give 110% for the Raptors.

I look forward to trip over, already packing the kilt.

    Whats happening Toronto!

I am also one of Arch's former team mates, back when he played ball in Scotland. I hope that this will be a good trade for the Raptors. I think you guys need someone big who will give up their body to make plays and hussle on D and rebounds.

Hopefully he will get enough minutes to prove this, and it should compliment the scorers on the team.

Anyways, I hope to make it over to Toronto this year to catch a few games.
