Anyone see all this crap that Brenston Buckner and mike minter are saying about a PRESEASON game....I think it funny that they believe they can get redemption in a preseason game.

Mike Minters quote is my favorite of them all

"It's going to be Super Bowl 2, Round 2,'' safety Mike Minter said, referring to the Pats' 32-29 victory over Carolina in Super Bowl XXXVIII last February. ``We're going to be jacked. I can tell you that right now"

And Buckner is saying its going to be a WAR..lolololololololol

What a bunch of clowns. I just pray they don't hurt anyone by acting like a bunch of fools out there.

Yeah, it's only pre-season, but losing the Superbowl hurts. They're going to want their first team to outplay New England's first team.

The year after the Packers lost to Denver in the Superbowl the two teams met in the pre-season and the Packers teed off on them. It didn't make me feel any better, but hey! If it builds confidence in the players, why not?

You're right, though... That's no excuse to go out and try to hurt anyone or get hurt in an essentially meaningless game.

I hear what your saying and I agree you want your first team to out perform theirs...but the comments are way overboard of just out performing.

if carolina crushes new england it could be a big boost to miami. They just need to hurt the following players - Brady, dillon, seymour, law, and any other 5 starters and NE is screwed. Probably wont happen

wait i'm confused, if carolina crushes new england...then... it will be a big boost to Miami? also BF1, NE came over alot of injuries last year i dont think injuries are going to be a problem for them even if they do have them

ya but we didn't lose brady and Williams as important to the Phins offense as Brady is to ours....they will struggle mightly on offense forcing an aging defense to be on the field even longer which is a recipe for disaster....though your right teams can overcome injuries and who knows maybe Miami comes out more determined than ever but right now all we can look at is on paper and on paper they are screwed.

No team is going to lose 4 key players and 9 starters and win, bottom line

Unless i see this right brenson buckner and minter among others, are they gonna work on that panthers hamburger offensive line also. Last i checked they lost 4 starters from last years team. Which means one thing delhomme will see the grass alot. It doesnt matter if the patroits lose by 45 points preseason means nothing. Never has.

i looked for and read that article after i saw your post...i had not seen or heard any of that from the carolina papers...on nfl total access, buckner said that they knew it was just preseason...as for them being clowns for being serious about the game, it also said the patriots were taking it pretty seriously also...

Ya Bruschi's response to those quotes were along the lines of, ya theres a grudge but I'm sure they got things to work on just like we do.... and Brady said with a Grin...Ya we'd like to beat those guys too...they all take it serious as far as improving as a team but to go so far as to call a preaseason game a "War" or "superbowl 2" just scares me that they are gonna be looking to kill someone and I'm all set with injuries in a meaningless game and regardless of the last game they played and thats exactly what the outcome of this game is... meaningless

I have total respect for the Panthers talent and team just don't like the character of some guys....they just love to talk.

you shouldn't worry...i don't think our guys have bad characters...jerry richardson has been adamant about, and hurney and fox very good at, weeding bad seeds from the team, especially after the rae carruth incident...i know steve smith has lost his temper, but the front office has forced him into anger management...he has grown as a person from what i have seen and heard...i know he could regress, but i think he sees how much more he is used in our offense when he flies right...as for the defense, i know of noone that would be a headhunter and try to hurt anyone on any team...i think it will be a clean game from all parties involved...your guys are pretty standup as a team also, so i am not worried either

I hear ya Crazy it's really Steve Smith and Mushin Muhammed who probably bother me the most because it's always one or the other I see being quoted with Buckner a close second....but definitely since the Carruth ordeal carolina as stayed away from anyone in trouble ex. Lamar Smith....Kerry Collins...
