Jamison for Ilgauskas? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NBA sources tell me that Dallas has been trying desperately trying to add Ilgauskas, with the Mavericks offering Antawn Jamison. He's a year into a six-year, $79 million deal. The Cavs don't think he's worth that kind of long-term commitment.</div> Akron Beacon Journal
Minnesota looking at Ilgauskas <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Minnesota has always liked Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and since making a huge mistake by signing Michael Olowokandi, the Wolves like the Cavs' big man even more. They might be willing to part with Wally Szczerbiak, who'd thrive with LeBron James as a No.2 scoring option. But as unhappy as Ilgauskas is with Paul Silas now, this is a deal that may not come off until this summer. </div> New York Daily News
Hmm..... I've always liked Ilgauskas as well, and I have tried RealGM trades all this summer seeing which ones worked. But that was all before Olowokandi. I don't want to give up on him just yet, but if he doesn't work out, I would LOVE to have him. EDIT: I didn't see that we would be getting rid of Wally. I am all for that, and if Olowokandi is healthy then, we would have a great 1-2 punch at Center and Point Guard. That means our lineup would be like this if we resign Trenton Hassell and Latrell Sprewell this summer: PG: Cassell/Hudson SG: Sprewell/Hoiberg SF: Hassell/Ebi PF: Garnett/Trent C: Olowokandi/Ilgauskas
I'm not a big fan of Ilgauskas, I can see why the Mavs need him, but at the expense of Jamison? I think that Dirk Nowitzki and Z will never form a Divac/Peja tandem if the trade happens. The Mavs need rebounding, not a easily injured 7-footer.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting choppa22:</div><div class="quote_post">I wouldnt want Ilgauskas to play on my team he is a decent player but he always seems to get injured</div> I want him on the Wolves because Wally is also injured a lot, so basically trading one IR for another IR. Besides, Ilgauskas seems to be fine so far, no serious injury.
Are the Mavericks that desperate? Jamison is not worth trading jus for Z, unless they need to clear a bunch of cap space. As for the Wolves, it'd be a much better trade for them.
dallas really needs a big man they cant keep winning games 115-110 cause in the playoffs theyll get bounced by the lakers or kings as usual
I dont think that the T'Wolves need to trade.. and especially not for Z.. The guys 7"3 and looses rebounds to players that are smaller then him.... And about his defense, it needs some work.. I know he has foot problems but he doesnt even hustle when somone misses and the other team gets the defensive rebound.
Ilgauskas makes sense in either Minny or Dallas...but since Olowokandi still has promise, I see him landin in Dallas....since Dallas has a lot more talent to offer...
