<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kobe Bryant:</div><div class="quote_post">http://www.nba.com/milk_rookie/rookie_rankings_031229.html i cant believe carmello is in third i think he should be first or atleast second</div> It's not hard to believe when you look at the stats and FG%'s. Catch up.
Well, there is no way that I think Carmelo should be first. The rookie rankings go by week, and Dwayne Wade has played better this week. Carmelo had some off days and it is reflected here. If Carmelo begins to average his regular numbers then he would clearly be in second place. However, not considering the records of the Cavaliers and the Nuggets, Lebron is better than Carmelo in almost every category. (Less by .6 in rebounds)
Korver is on there? He is shootin threes amazingly, if he developes a more all around game, it would be great for him and the Sixers.
They should have named the rookies of the month already, as James and Anthony will win hands down again, a theme I don't see changing at all this year. Sucks that Wade is in the East, because he would have been a winner if not for James. Believe Wade shot like 53% from the field too, scored 19 a game, same as Melo, had more assists as well (plus was way more consistant)
i would def. have lebron one but like king james said his fg percentage is awful and dwayne wade has been playing pretty good
I think everyone just assumes Melo should automatically be #2 just because of all the hype about him and LeBron. When someone out plays you, people have to realize that Melo's spot isn't going to be locked up, this goes by stats.
Heck, I think Hinrich had a better 2nd half of December than Melo and deserves some major credit for how he has played. I believe he has put himself ahead of Ford IMO.
Lebron and Carmelo will get rookie of the month every month this year pretty much. It's kind of hard to beat those stats.
I love than Hinrich is at #4. Chicago has a very high ceiling, young backcourt with Kirk and Crawford. Wade is definitely deserving over Carmelo. He is a far surperior passer and is the reason the heat have been playing so well for the last 2 weeks
However big a Carmelo fan I am, I have to concede that December was an off month, and that Wade has deserved to be ranked 2nd in all the rookie rankings that came out. Hopefully Melo's big outburst the other night will get him back into rythem.
Yea, i agree with you guys. Wade is getting better as the season is progressing. Too bad he's injured now.
That injury doesn't look serious though. I'd be surprised if he missed more than 5-7 games and most rooks could use a break like that at this point in the season anyhow.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Lostmyluggage:</div><div class="quote_post">I didn't see Darko on the list! Wasn't he the number 2 pick in the draft?</div> I am tempted not to respond, because this is going to turn into a "Darko is a bust' debate...... But he isn't listed because he isn't getting the playing time, which means his stats are lower than those listed, thus not enabling him to be listed.
Anyone who has been following the NBA this season should know why Darko is not on the rookie rankings list.I'm not going to waste my time by explaining it AGAIN.
