<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">Former Magic Coach Doc Rivers and Horace Grant have made up about a year after their bitter midair dispute on the team plane last season. Witnesses saw the two shake hands and talk before the Los Angeles Lakers' game against the Houston Rockets on Christmas.

Grant rejoined the Lakers this season, and Rivers was in L.A. in his role as ABC color analyst. Grant effectively got himself fired in his second stint with Orlando after tensions with Rivers spilled over. Grant did not play after being released in December 2002 but came out of "retirement" to play for L.A. this season.

"Life's too short to go around not speaking to each other," Rivers said Sunday. "I had my mind made up to go say something to him. Horace said it wasn't the way he wanted things to end here. Shaq was funny. He said, 'Hit 'em, Doc!' " . . .</div>
