...get one rebound at a crucial moment within a game who would it be?

You got the pick of any NBA cat in history to put in the line-up tp snatch one off the boards at a crucial point in the game..who would you pick and why? Now when makin' your choice don't just take into account some cat who is over 7 feet. Take into account everything.

Personally,if it were my choice I would choose Charles Barkley. Dude was tenacious and relentless and one hell of a rebounder. I would feel secure with the game in dude's hands....

    So who would it be?

    I'll holla

There are a lot of guys who could get the job done, but I'd have to go with Dennis Rodman in his prime. He was so intense and such a competitor that you just know he'd find a way to get that board, even if he was out of position with a 20 foot wall blocking his path.

I agree, although I'd go with Barkley myself, so strong and what an offensive force!

I have to go with Kevin Garnett ..
Tall enough.. long arms .. so athletic .. and more importantly the hunger and the intense he has ..
I'd definitly go with him !

It might seem silly, but I would pick Dirk. If someone is trying to get a crucial rebound, there is a good chance that the game is close, and they will get fouled. Dirk is an excellent free throw shooter.

Ben Wallace or Rodman. Both great rebounders with the heart to get that big rebound.

I would have to say Wilt Chamberlain. This guy might be the greatest rebounder of all time. I mean he averaged 22.9 rebounds a game over his entire career. That is unbeliveable that over his 14 year career he was able to keep his rebounding average so high.. He was 7-1 and 275 so he would be big enough to get position and make a strong play for the rebound.

Wilt Chamberlin if I had to go for the legends. Barkley is right there...

Today... I havta go with Garnett. 14 rpg this year... and this guy REBOUNDS ABOVE THE RIM... he has mastered the tactic of tiping the ball around to himself.

Rodman used to study tape of opposition players just to work out where the ball would rebound from misses from different spots on the floor. The hunger was incredible.

There was no 3-secondsfield there then, if Shaq, Ben Wallace [and Kevin Garnett:)] or any other center today had been in NBA at the time with out 3-secondsfield, they could easily averrage the same at rebounds!

Ben Wallace or Dennis Rodman...they both are great rebounders and can get the job done inside.

Definately Wilt, Ben, or Rodman. Rodman was crazy in his prime and pulled down everythin, but you also can't forget about Wilt and Big Ben with all that force.

Great point that Wilt avged 23 rebounds a game, cuz thats probably never (anytime soon) gonna be topped.

Nice thread tho, I thought it was gonna be "game winning shot" lol
