Are talented players.I agree with KJ this "no help" excuse is a load of bull to me.Mcgrady is just not using them in the right way.Their confidence is down because Mcgrady refuses to have confidence in them.If he was a better leader the results might of been different

Do you ever see Iverson and KG (of last year) moaning about lack of help over the years? NO..why? because they play with what they have got and get on with playing basketball.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">I am tired of this weak "oh no one else makes shots" cry over T-Mac. McGrady has embarrassed himself this season and showed that he has not yet grown up and is ready to assume a leadership role. Leaders motivate their teammates and make them play hard, McBaby just has not done that.

Sad too because this team has talent around him, I don't care what anyone says.</div>

You can motivate someone all day, but if they can hit shots does it matter? These guys are grown ups and this is there job they shouldn't need someone else on their team to tell them to do better or baby them.

If I am a Magic player, and knowing what T-Mac has said about this franchise, I sure as hell don't give him 100% effort, I come to work and do what I got to do to pick up a paycheck.

You are still missing the point we made, yes they are missing shots, but are the motivated shots? Is the rest of this team really playing as hard as they can every night?

Those are the questions, and I believe we all know the answers.

Don't get me wrong I agree on the part that he can be a better leader. But are y'all actually looking at all the magic games? Or do you assume oh they lost another one that means he didn't motivate them tonight. The list that king james listed does have talent (excluding nailon because he is new) but no one on that list has been consistent all season and is there a weaker list than that?

Why do you think that is? because lack of confidence.Which is a key part in any team throughout the NBA...Unless you have it you won't have the belief in yourself to come to play every night and be depended on.Mcgrady does nothing to help his team-mates in that area.Basketball is a team game, players win games as a team..and unless you have the team chemistry you aren't going to get the job done night in night out.

Tracy McGrady did not have a good night. He had a lot of points, but that means nothing with he's not on defense. No blocks for the first time in about 6-7 games, and no rebounds at all on the night. He's a guy averaging abou 6-8 boards, and he comes up with none?

They can't win like this, and it's obvious when McGrady scores big, Magic lose. They stand around and watch him when he's hot, much to the effect of the Wizards and MJ last year. Too much reliance on him scoring without defensive pressure (a la, Dallas Mavericks) is not the way to go.

Exactly. I've been saying that I would rather have 20 pts and 10 assists from Tmac than 50 pts, because the team just watches him.

I see where you guys are coming from allnet and KJ about him not being a leader. I'll definetely admit, he's not a leader right now, but the "excuse about not having talent" is wrong. I agree we have a lot of talent which suprises me how bad we're doing. If you guys watch Magic games then you would see he is dishing the ball a lot more than shooting. The guys just can't make a shot. Every time he drives it seems like he passes instead of shoots. Like I said earlier in this post, I don't think that he is a leader, but his teammates are so inconstent that it's hard to figure out which guy will be the guy shooting good. Gooden gets 29 pts 12 rebounds some games, then 6 pts 3 boards the next. Giricek shoots 6-8 1 night, then shoots 3-16 the next night. Howard gets 20 pts 8 boards some games, then 10 pts 3 boards the next. We need a consistent 2nd option.

Fair play to Tmac for putting up those points, but like sportsrock (and Tracy) have said, who cares if you get 50? What does it mean if your team doesn't get the win.

In the games what we have won, it has been a well rounded performance by the whole team, with McGrady just edging out infront with 7+ assists.

It has been an up and down week or two for Orlando, but I think that towards the end of the season, or maybe earlier, the team will begin to iron out, and play some solid basketball.
