....Trades that changed the face of their respective franchises.

What are some trades that you guys know and remember that either took the franchise to another level or dropped them thru the floor?

One of the more recent trades that comes into my mind is when Boston traded away Kenny Anderson and Rodney Rogers after their run deep into the playoffs..that truly set that team back. Another that comes to mind is a pair of trades...and thats the trades that the Warriors made to sent the M out of Run TMC and then shipping Webber off because of Don Nelson then ditching Nelson.

These trades put a dent in their respective organizations. The Warriors seem to be really reeling to this day from trading away a piece of a promising and upcoming squad.

It's got to be the Stephon-Kidd trade. The Nets organization suddenly found themselves on the Finals after being a lottery team.

Grant Hill for Ben Wallace and CHucky Atkins.

Imagine how good Orlando would be with Big Ben and the ability to spend Hill's salary on other talent.

Imagine how bad detroit would be without Ben, Chucky and handicapped by Grant 'emergency room' hill

Kobe for Vlade. What a joke! That is the biggest deal to impact a team(s). Lakers win 3 in a row after that. Sure charlotte didn't want a High School player...But Jerry West is a smart person he knew what he wanted..."Show Time" Part 2!

It was more to do with Kobe being a little baby by demanding to be traded to the Lakers.Wasn't that the Hornets "didn't want him"

i know that the sonics greatly improved by getting ray, but if GP couldve stayed with the Bucks the trade would not as greatly been lopsided for the Sonics

It will soon be the most recent trade...

Marbury and Hardaway to the Knicks
    4
Eisly, Ward, McDyess, 2 other no-names, and 2 1st round picks

This deal will greatly improve the Knicks. The Suns lost so much, it's not even funny. McDyess will end up on the IL soon enough. And Ward is out of a contract after the season. In the future, the trade might help out the Suns with the 1st round picks.

^ Go to the Phoenix and New York team's forums. It's being discussed there why it's not that lopsided of a deal.

Yea, but if someone demands to be traded like you said Kobe did...The team they want to be traded to won't really want them unless they had a good reason to take them. Jerry West was really interested in an 18 yr. old "Cry Baby". And well, I think it paid off!

Definitely those Kobe and Kidd trades. However I'd like to add Ray Allen going to the Sonics, he seems a much better offensive player and tradeoff for someone who seems to have been losing it for a little while.
