<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">The Magic (8-26) play the Pacers (26-10) tonight in Indianapolis, pitting the worst -- record and defense -- in the Eastern Conference against the best. It's no coincidence the two go together. The Pacers are planning a parade. "Our defense? It's bad, bad, real bad, poor," said Magic guard Tracy McGrady. "And other teams know that." "Everything is going wrong [defensively]," said point guard Tyronn Lue. "We're not even on the same page at times." The Magic are riding a four-game losing streak, which has mirrored their defensive failures. Each of the four opponents scored at least 98 points. They haven't limited an opponent to less than 45 percent shooting from the field since they upset the Pacers on Dec. 17. No wonder the Miami Heat were so giddy Friday night against the Magic. The Heat are the worst-shooting team and second-lowest scoring team in the NBA, but they scored a whopping 40 points in the first quarter against the Magic's no-look defense.</div> Orlando Sentinel The Magic have been deeply exposed, nothing will change until they learn to play defense. I expect the Pacers to blow them out tonight as well.
This is the main factor I feel the Magic will never learn to overcome 100%. I seen them walk back on D and this isn't called for. They found out the problem they just need to learn how to fix it. If they can do this then there games should have some great outcomes. If they can't blowouts come. It's up to them now. I think that the Magic will fix there " problem" maybe not this season but next hopefully.
Talk about bringing in scoring threats... I think that the Magic have it. Bring in some defense. They did that with Rod Strickland, but face it. Thats not enough. Next year they better get some defensive people on the team because thats their whole problem. The mavs face it to.. The magic are slightly different cause they cant put up 120 points everynight like the Mavericks do.. The only reason they win their games. Unless they can put up a load of points and out score a team, they are not going anywhere. They need defense..
