I was browsin' around the site and noticed the Boston forum had an All-Time list stickied..the Lakers deserve one as well so I figured I'd be devils advocate and make one...quite impressive when you look at it... Now this would be one helluva squad! Compete with and beat any team in history! Kareem would be the ultimate 6th man! LOL (Thanks to NBA.com for the stats and pictures)
I agree with most of your list. I would play Kareem at the 4 instead of Worthy. Kareem was always finesse anyways. Then my six man would've been Shaq. Then of course the rest of the bench would be, Kobe, Gail goodrich, worthy, Michael Cooper, Jamal Wilkes....and...i dunno....Vlade

Down the line we may look at Kobe as a better player before it's all said and done, but to bench West for a guy who is just fitting into his prime, is ridiculious. Your on your own their with Shaq, but I would take Wilt. I agree 100% with the Black Widow's lineup, it's nice to have a guy around here who knows his NBA history, welcome!

And if you think about it, there at least three Lakers you could put at the 2 or 5 who'd get the job done. Kareem, Shaq or Wilt at the 5. Kobe, Gail Goodrich or Jerry West at the 2. The choice is purely arbitrary, but Kobe is the most athletic of the three and is the only Laker, other than Elgin Baylor, to average 30 points in a season. For all of Wilt's supposed offensive prowess, he was rarely victorious against the dominant defensive abilities of Bill Russell. I'd bet on my Laker team over any other.

Although not made for the team, it would be nice to see Luke Walton passing around with Magic, they're both so awesome not that Walton is on Magic's level.

Of course, they never showed up for class and when they did, they'd sit in back and talk on their cell phones. There is a great deal of pressure to live up to the standard set by John Wooden, which is damn near impossible. That's part of the reason why Steve Lavin got tossed last year. I don't like Bozeman, I doubt that he'll be drafted. UCLA hasn't produced a notable player since Baron Davis; Jason Kapono is playing with Lebron now, so I'll be keeping an eye on him. I'm really impressed with Trevor Ariza (rookie) this year, I look for him to be a strong leader for the squad.
