Very tough call to make.When I first saw the game it looked as if Tucker had got the shot off by 0.01 second.Although I'm still not sure if he did.It would take at least 5 times to see again for me to give a straight answer
Um. He didn't get the shot off until after the clock read 0.0. However, it was clearly before the horn sounded, and before the light flashed, and the rules state that's what you go by, so the basket counted.
He was in the air at 0.03 I believe...The angle looked as if it the shotclock above the basket had gone off as 0.00 when he was about to release the ball.
Yes I think he released it before the 3 zeros, although Fast Luck is right, that is not what counts. Shame though. Double overtime would have been nice.
Yeah I watched that game he got it off just before the light and after the o.oo was reached. It was like 1 millionth of a second late. Good call by the officials IMO.
I looked at the replay over and over again. To me it looked like he did not get the shot off before the clock hit zero. However by rule you go by the horn and the light at the back of the goal and clearly he got the ball off before either of those went off. I thought the light, horn and clock were all syncronized before I saw the game. Something really needs to be done about that. Texas stole the game. Go Horns!!!
Well, it's all supposed to be synchronized, I think, but Providence must not have everything wired just right.
