What's ya'lls favorite ballas in the L past/present that you held in high regard that lots of people shrugged off? Someone who wasn't a mainstream superstar that you were really feelin' as a player.

For me it was Cedric Ceballos and Antione Carr..I really liked Cedric's ability to heat up in a hurry and score in bunches...his attitude coulda used some work but I liked him...and I really liked Big Dog Carr..dude was tough as nails.. how bout ya'll?

I like BJ Armstrong, Kenny Smith, Orlando Woolridge, Manu Ginobili, Kevin Johnson. Others too, but these guys came to mind. Guys who were close to all-star level(or were all-stars) who never were regarded as superstars.

Detlef Schrempf, Hersey Hawkins were prime examples of very good players who just played the game without any real credit.

There are so many different players from the past you can name.Sadly players you can't market likely won't get the high praise they deserve.

Steve Kerr, Kevin Willis, Tony Dumas, Michael Finley, John Paxson, and the ultimate player in the present....Sam Cassell

And what about Oscar Robertson, I have not seen this guy play a game in my life but to average a triple double is something I admire. Thats the epitome of the complete game. In my opinion he doesn't get as much press as magic, michael, larry and wilt, he deserves more.

Michael Finley is one of THE most underated players ever to play in the NBA. He should have been an All-Star at least 3 years in a row now.
as for other players Larry Johnson and Juan Dixon and Steve Blake.

Current: Andrei Kirilenko( I think he is a Superstar, but many do not), Manu Ginobili, Chris Andersen, and Quentin Richardson.

I liek the first 3 because they play hard nose defense, which I like.

I like Q because he is a fun player to watch and the head bop thing is always cool. [IMG]

So true, he was MVP of the All-Star game in Seattle, and scored over 50 points in a game a few times.
