I liked Richard Hamilton's free-throw stance. dribble, dribble, dribble to the right, crouch, then shoots and swoosh! What are your favorites?

Rick Barry...he was brave enough to shoot his freethrows differently, and more effeciently than anybody else ever. Wasn't like they were going to make fun of him too much, because he could drop 40 on you at any given moment, and he did hit his foul shots at a 90%+ clip for his career. You can't tease someone who is better than you.

I also gotta say Jason Kidd's stance at the line. I think he imagines at his stance. He feels the ball then kisses. I don't know what's up with that, but at least he makes them. [IMG]

Well as long as they go in I dont care.

Best free throw stance - Peja Stojakovic

Worst free throw stance - Anthony Mason

I like when Jamal Crawford cuffs his hands and blows in them.. Don't know why he does it... but it is something different from the traditional.

Shaqs. Looks like he just palms the ball, then pushes his fingers a bit.

Presently, I like Ray Allen's stance the best. The man is money. I think Hamilton/Mason/Shaq all have the worse. Its almost sickening to watch them shoot FTs.

All-time, I think Steve Kerr had the best stance. Great follow-through, feet spread shoulder-length apart, nice extension. The model for free-throw shooting.

He's throwing kisses at his wife and kid. I agree that it looks nice.

Shaq?! hah! Everything's coming off his fingers...he doesn't even bend his knees correctly

I was going to say Kidd's, too. Not just the kiss thing, either. He looks so focused, like nothing in the crowd or anywhere else could keep him from making those shots, and he's completely calm about it. He's in a zone, you can tell.

Shaq's stance is pretty funny, he hardly moves a muscle, and I'm always up for a laugh so I like his also.

My personal favorite, too. I have the exact same stance now.

except for the muscles on his fingers...hahaha...and sometimes it seems as if he's going to fall forwards after releasing the shot...talk about no follow through...

My best stance would have to be Karl Malone's. Always curious to know what he's saying at the FT line.....And also Dirk Nowitzki.

When he does the kiss thing he is like giving thanks to his family. Thats what it's all about.

    My favorite is Richard Hamilton.

Worst, Mason.... jeez shoot it already. [IMG]
