i've been trying to figure out who's defense would be able to adjust to the new enforcement to this rule, which should allow offenses more freedom...i think the chiefs have the edge...they've been leaving offenses untouched for the last two years....
lol... nice. After watching Burress get raped once in the end zone and pushed on a different play (both resulting in flags), teams with good receivers are just going to clean up passing. Of course it doesn't help us on the fantasy end because you don't get penalty yards.
cover 2 teams will be able to adjust faster, they play zones anyway(Tampa, St Louis, NY Jets, Chicago, Indy), while bump and run teams are likely to struggle(Miami, NE, Philly)....basically, any team with premier CBs will be hurt, its the premier guys that are physical....
This is really weird. When i played in H.S. we had the 5 yd rule. Past 5yds you could'nt touch the reciever or it was holding, or whatever. And it's been like that down here for years. So i don't see what the big problem is for these cornerbacks to keep their hands off the recievers. I mean if you grew up with this rule. It should'nt be that big of a problem. I don't know that's just me.
I think the officials were relaxed on the calls and will be tightening up. Every corner has incidental contact... it's just part of the game. Well, it WAS part of the game.

its going to hurt the eagles, Lito and Sheldon are so physical and agressive that they are going to have to lay off. It also wont hurt the teams with a good pass rush as much, they have less time to cover.

I think Darren Sharper said it best when he said "Why don't you just keep the defense off the field entirely and let the offense go out there and play catch?" He hates the new rules. I do, too. I can imagine in key games and in the playoffs when officials pick a random game and start calling everything against one team or another. Yeah, call me paranoid, but it WILL happen.
i dont like the rule, but its FAIR only if they call it both ways, if a WR touches a DB, they HAVE TO call it. that would be fair, and it should be the right thing.

He is a scary scary threat to destroy DB's now cuz they can only press for 5yards instead of 8 or 9. He will probably get 150 catches this year for 2000 yards and 35 tds.
pats is right to an extent, it will help speed WRs alot, marvin will have better numbers, guys like todd pinkston who normally have trouble getting off the line will benefit. I think pinkston will get the most out of this new enforcement, because 2 years ago he ha 60 catches, last year he basically was blocked on the line and would get off to late, now i think hell get alot more seperation because of this "new" rule
0 catches, 1 unofficial TD tho, and 2 drops. TO wasnt the focus of my post, i was pinkston will get back to the way he was 2 years ago, pinky made some nice grabs last night.

One that doesn't count and doesn't go on the records as a TD?? Did either of the drops hit him square in the chest?? I know the answers to all of these...just bustin' your coconuts
-one drop hit him in the numbers, but to his credit it was a helicopter. -that TD was called back to holding by the worst LT ever to play thegame -His other drop was a hard pass to catch, in the back of the endzone to. -
