<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Isiah Thomas has been keeping a low profile the past two days which can only mean one thing ? Scott Layden's players are in trouble.
"Isiah is far from done," said an Eastern Conference GM who recently spoke to Thomas. "I get the impression that he is going to make another deal soon."

Thomas, who returned to his home in Indianapolis on Monday but will be at the Garden tonight, is looking for ways to make the Knicks more athletic to best utilize Stephon Marbury's skills. The Knicks and Cavs continue to discuss a deal for Darius Miles that could include Michael Doleac and Frank Williams heading to Cleveland.

Another possibility is Portland's Rasheed Wallace, who will become a free agent this summer. The Blazers would have to take back Keith Van Horn in order for that trade to work. There is a better possibility that the two teams will work out a sign-and-trade deal during the offseason.

The Knicks have also offered Othella Harrington and Frank Williams for Darius Miles.

I've heard the Knick/Cavs rumor also. Miles would be able to finish Marburys passes but thats about it. I can see Doleac coming to Cleveland because of the huge amounts of talk about Z being traded.

Dmiles would be an awesome addition to the Knicks every lob marbury makes Dmiles(to dmiles) can finish it.. give the guy some heavy minutes and he'll live up to his potential. And I can see Doleac going, because the cavs badly need a center.. Z isnt doing anything for them on defense.

With the right development, I still think Miles can be a supplement to Marbury just like what Shawn Marion was in Phoenix.

Yeah, I think the Miles trade will be the next move Isaiah makes...And there likely will be ANOTHER small trade made after that one...

It would be a good move for the Knicks. Ilgauskas, when healthy, is an All-Star in the East. And him with Mutombo plus Thomas will make a devestating front line in the East. And Miles with Marbury would help eachother out. This team will look great with that trade.

I agree that a point like Marbury might be just what Miles needs, since he has trouble creating his own shot.

How would Ilgauskas be involved with the trade? Wouldn't Thomas have to be sent over to Cleveland?

If that trade went down Dmiles would be averaging more points, Marbury more dimes, And the Knicks more wins..

Miles would see a lot more touches in NY. Marbury would utilize Miles just like Marion in Phoenix.

Daruis Miles is useless. Don't insult Shawn Marion by comparing Miles to him. The Knicks would be foolish to get a guy who can't do anything but jump. Hell, Lee Nailon is more useful than him. At least he can get to the rim on his own.

I agree. I am suprised some people are saying DMiles could be for Marbury what Marion was for him. Are you guys out of your mind? Marion is a All Star calibur player who's shown that he has an all around game, create for himself, and also has a decent shot. While on the other hand, Miles has shown lazyness on the court, he doesn't have a shot, and something has to be set up for him to score. Sure, Miles is a useful player and could make an impact on the Knicks, but don't get it twisted, he is no where near as good as a player as Marion is.

I think all DMiles needs is the right point guard. I believe none of you people think that Jason Kidd did not help at all in Marion's development.

Stephon could also help Darius develop in the same way.

How about a little D under the hoop. Like, thats what the Knicks really need. A bruiser ! This whole club is built on "matador" d-fence.
    Olay !

yeah, I don't think Darius would be a good fit in NY. I think he should stay in Cleveland where he makes a good sixth man. However, Rasheed isn't a very physical player by any standards, but he would be a good fit in NY with his childish attitude. I would love to see KVH make his home at the Rose Garden. [IMG]

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The New York Daily News reports that Keith Van Horn is rumored to be the next player shipped out of New York. Isiah Thomas, the team's new general manager, reportedly has Portland's Rasheed Wallace in his sites, and could dangle Van Horn to the Blazers in exchange. There were several reports on Sunday, however, which suggested that talks between New York and Portland are dead. (1/12) ... While Thomas is giving Don Chaney some time to prove that he deserves to keep his job, the hourglass will run out sooner rather than later is the Knicks fail to show improvement quickly.
