You said "I cant wait to try and see someone try and run with Bethal Johnson" This implies you dont think people can 'run' with bethel "16" johnson. Well, almost every corner in the league can cover almost every reciever on the sorry patriots man up even with the new rules. The only reason they are successful as recievers is offensive scheme combined with brady's skills. They spread the defense so the can get some zone and then brady picks it apart. It has little to do with the skill of those shit recievers. Your offense wont get better cuz of new rules because of system. I know it will be hard for you to admit that, instead you will try and attack me or my bears in your next post instead of respond with 'facts'. I do not care, however i do like nickname lovie bear, that is pretty cool. I think terrell is a bust, doesnt bother me. You just need to realize the only reciever on your team with talent is deion branch and he is not that talented either. It is all scheme the recievers deserve less than 1% of the credit for patriots success last year. About 15% of your success was attributed to bad refereeing in not calling D-holding penalties. Just enough to put them over the top of colts. Congratulations. I will say though, if you arent cheating you arent trying. P.S. Read the the tag line, and then turn off your computer.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (TheBeef)</div><div class='quotemain'>cover 2 teams will be able to adjust faster, they play zones anyway(Tampa, St Louis, NY Jets, Chicago, Indy), while bump and run teams are likely to struggle(Miami, NE, Philly)....basically, any team with premier CBs will be hurt, its the premier guys that are physical....</div> You hit the nail on the head beef. Cover two teams should benifit these rules and im sure defenses will adapt to the change. If the refs are inconsistent like they are with other rules i dont think any team will have to worry, after a couple weeks teams will be playing the way they were. Refs will swallow them whistles i bet.
u 2 are being pretty hard. NE is still the class of the AFC, best defense and best QB. I think Pats point about Bethel Johnson was that Bethel will be better, and play a bigger role now that will be able to use his speed and get by the DBs and get open. isnt bethel number 2 anyway?
Bethel johnson is speed. however the patroits spread the ball so much they really have no true number 1 wideout. Deion branch after his 11 catch performance in the superbowl solidified himself as bradys most relible. But with bethel, troy brown, patten, givens daniel graham, fauria and ben watson who's gonna be the man? Truth is their is no true number 1 in newengland. Bout time dawk you got rid of that queer looking avatar of owens in a queer uni celebrating. Atleast get one of him celebrating in philly.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pack Attack)</div><div class='quotemain'>I think Darren Sharper said it best when he said "Why don't you just keep the defense off the field entirely and let the offense go out there and play catch?" He hates the new rules. I do, too. I can imagine in key games and in the playoffs when officials pick a random game and start calling everything against one team or another. Yeah, call me paranoid, but it WILL happen.</div> Paranoid about refs deciding games? No way, there is no one here that would even think that, <cough, cough> Oh, wait yes they do

I am sure that one play tonight will be completely indicative of the entire season, i would be surprised if he does not catch a TD pass every offesive possesion on the first play.
yeah preseason success is always indicitive of regular season results, which is why the Cardinals went undefeated last year and Dan Klecko had 64 sacks(an actual prediction by a Patriots fan after he had 4 sacks in the preseason opener against the Giants last year)

And I think I'd rather see my team have success on the field in the preseason than not.
im pretty sure it was Bakes, its was definelty one of you three....and the reason to bring it up is to illistrate the point that preseason performance has nothing to do with the regular season Mr. Bethel burned Ricky manning in a game that dont matter....
I agree the game didn't matter nor would I ever say it did and It wasn't me making predictions like that... I'll bet my life on it....and what does matter is bethal did that alot last season especially late in the season and the playoffs (Tenn) and though they may not have hit it every time he is a deep threat and my original point is if they can't slow him down after 5 yards he is going to be tough to run with if we get him in single coverage.
My point was he has 16 receptions, if he was any good he would have been slightly more successful. He is a 3rd tier reciever at BEST, he is not any good. He is a Scrub. No one is scared of him.

pats u can join my club of people who have "scrubs" breaking out big time in 04, and we get crucified for supporting htem lol/ the list 1-LJ Smith 2-Lito Sheppard/Sheldon Brown 4-Bethel Johnson
