The Pittsburgh Spartans & B.A.L.C.O. start the year off with an ailing starter at Running Back. Minnesota Viking Michael Bennett will most likely miss at least one regular season game. He may not even make it back by Sept. 20th. This could spell trouble for these two teams as talent was spread thin enough as it is. B.A.L.C.O. team owner ROTR was unable to be reached for comment, but Coach Steelerfan_2004 of the Spartans was quoted saying, "This is a tough blow for this Spartans team. We've worked hard this offseason to avoid these kind of injuries, but things like this happen. We have to hope that the rest of the team can step up and pick up the slack until Michael returns." The truly unfortunate part of the injury is that the Bennett has a bye week during week 4 and probably won't be up to snuff until week 5. It's disappointing for both Coaches who worked hard preparing for the draft.
Coach Beef Baghead of the Beefadel Bagheads was quite relieved that his trade attempts for Michael Bennett fell through, "I dont know what we would have done if we would have traded some of other weapons for a lame duck back, whew..."
Coach LSU denies rumors that BALCO is trying to acquire RB Moe Williams to replace the fallen Bennett.
See Dawk. I told you things would change with the forst injury... And there have been at least three since our draft.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Send Em Back Al)</div><div class='quotemain'>See Dawk. I told you things would change with the forst injury... And there have been at least three since our draft.</div> 2 of my 3 RB's are hurt, one is out the entire season (M. Anderson). I looked over the available RB's and the the two best leftovers both have a bye in week 4 also. I won't be in the playoffs this year.
Local reporters have tried to interview Bobcat coach Cowboy to discuss the rash of injuries, but so far he has declined comment. Insiders tell us that Coach Cowboy has criticized BALCO's 3-a-day practices.
