A medical examiner determined that Dare, pronounced dead Friday at Englewood Hospital after being rushed to the emergency room, had a heart attack due to an arrhythmia condition that was discovered when he was in college at George Washington.</div>

Wow, I was shocked when I read this. One of the league's true overpaid players, but this is still tragic. Condolences to his family.

RIP Yinka... this is especially sad considering that I always made fun of him when I saw him playing (when he DID play, that is). My point is, most people saw him only as a basketball player (a bad one at that), and never got to appreciate him for the person that he was. haha I know I'm getting all sentimental and everything, but personally, when I die, I don't want a reporter saying that I will be remembered for not getting a single assist in my career... lol.

If you don't like people making fun of Yinka Dare and his assists totals don't read insidehoops [IMG]

But seriously, what you are saying is very true. I always cringe when people make fun of Manute Bol, and some of the things he has done recently (ice hockey, celebrity boxing etc) when in truth he's doing it because he has spent all his money trying to help his country and it's people.

Yeah, Manute Bol is a really good person. If he was good as basketball player as he was person, then he could be a All-Star.
