Thomas wants anyone he can get his hands on it seems. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Isiah Thomas, the best little big man in NBA history, sees a bit of himself in Allen Iverson, except for the tattoos and cornrows. Hair and body art aside, Iverson possesses traits the Knicks sorely lack: a superstar player with a heart as big as his ego. Just like Thomas. "He loves Allen and how he competes," said one of Thomas' close friends. "He would love to have Allen on his team." Thomas, the Knicks' new president of basketball operations, will have to be creative or lucky to bring Iverson to New York. It's a longshot at best. But acquiring talent, superstar talent, is Thomas' top priority for rebuilding the Knicks and how he ultimately will be judged. "There aren't a lot of (superstars) walking around," Thomas said. "People are not inclined to give up on those guys. We have to find other creative ways to beat the bushes and try to come up with some talent in some very unconventional ways. Cross your fingers and hope you get lucky."</div> Frank Isola New York Daily News Full Article I don't think this trade will happen as Billy King isn't that dumb, but it's an interesting read nonetheless. If this were to happen though, New York would have to buy out Allen's newly signed four-year contract, that would be hard, with Houston's contract and his possibly, they would be in trouble. Thomas can dream, right?
There would be some conflict about that deal iverson's # would be changed unless the deal involved S.Marbury. + i dont think that iverson would mesh to well with the rest of the knicks.
i knew there was somthing wrong with this, ummmmm sasha, did u bother looking at the date? it apears thomas got his iverson type, it was marbury as this article was done on Fri, Dec. 26, 2003 about a week before marbury was a knick
I love Iverson, he's the heart and soul of Philly. I think he should stay, I agree that he and Marbury wouldn't have chemistry, like Minnesota, he wouldn't have stayed anyway. He's one of those players who strives to be the best, to not be second string to nobody. Please stay AI!

I don't think he'll go to NYC or anywhere else for that matter, just something fun to read.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ObieCent:</div><div class="quote_post">Iverson is staying in Philly. Period.</div> I'm glad somebody said it. I can't even picture Iverson as a Knick. Thats str8 crazy. *smh*
He won't move anywhere, he'll stay in Philly and I don't think that the Knicks have anyone good enough to give up for AI. Why would Philly trade AI anyways, that would never happen.
This is just saying that Isiah Thomas wants to bring in a star player. Plus this article is old(written before marbury was traded)so basically there is no way that this happening
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ming637:</div><div class="quote_post">I thought you're not allowed to trade a player for 60 days that has recently joined your team?</div> What does this gotta do with anythin?
i cant have that! ma girlfriend is a knicks fan. if she got ma best player????? basketball would be doomed in ma eyes. i been a sixers fan since weatherspoon and bradley, now things change and we got him and he leaves??? and goes to the knicks???????? nooooo. if nething, i.t. should come to philly as assistant or somethin
