Lebron James has the best future of any rookie in a few years, maybe ever. Seriously, he's only eighteen and he plays well enough to start on any team in the league. I don't really think it's close between Melo and Lebron. Lebron is the smartest player on the court most of the time. He knows how to do the things that it takes to win, and he should only get better as time goes on. I'm excited about getting to watch him play his career. I get pumped every time I see him play. He's just so exciting, his future is very, very bright.

duh. Lebron James. hes better than any of us could have realistically expected. Im not ready to say he'll be the GOAT but can anyone safely say that Michael Jordan would have averaged 20+ points a game with great rebound and assist numbers in the NBA when he was 18 years old?....tough call...maybe if he was playing in todays eastern conference

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">Once again someone not giving any respect to Melo's teammates. This is a bran new team, Melo was not the only addition, you know this.

Melo is not winning these games for Denver, every night it is someone different who steps up, Boykins, Camby, Lenard, Miller...you just don't know who to focus on.

    They are a great team.

Switch Melo with Bron, then see who would have the W's.</div>

thats fine with me. but id rather win and melo not get ROY, than vice versa.

What does that have to do with anything? Takes James away from Cleveland and the Cavs don't win a single game. Take Melo away, Denver still wins some games.

Hey, you never know, Ebi could turn out to be another Garnett. Then again, he could turn out to be another bust. But my guess is that he just will be a good, solid role player who will score about 12+ a night. But he has got to put a little muscle on those bones.

As should we all, but the way you keep saying it is making it look like you are using wins for leverage.

    Stop being so repetitive.

Individual awards is the topic of this entire thread. Not "which team is best?" but "which rookie is best?". Lebron is the best.

I'm surprised this is even a topic. The only competition between Bron and Melo is as to who's gonna be ROY. But I don't think that anyone should doubt that 5, 8, and 10 years down the road, Bron will be better, and perhaps the best player in the game. Melo will be a superstar maybe, but he's the only other rookie who will come close to what Bron will become.

Well, Lebron is going to be the best. Then it will be Darko, and then Melo. A Small Forward never has as much impact as a PF. Look at Marion or Mashburn, the two best SFs in the league. Now look at KG or TD, is it a fair comparison? No. However, you can go to Jermaine O'Neal or Zach Randolph (Before his recent slump) and they are all better and more important than SFs.

Carmelo is not an all around player, he can't defend well and he can't pass well. On the other hand, Darko can pass and he has very good lateral quickness to be a force in the paint on defense. He can also learn positioning and techniques from Ben to become better.

If Darko becomes what he can become, then Carmelo will be worse.
