New York had a great come back run in the second half to tie it at the end of regulation, but at the end Mavs come out strong. Spectacular night by Starbury, he had 38 points and 14 assists. Allan Houston scored 28 points and 6-12 from downtown. http://www.nba.com/games/20040112/DALNYK/boxscore.html
S.Marbury played awesome today, thats the kind of performance i expected befor in his debut but he had the butterflies .. anyways i think that marbury played good...ddaaammmmnnnnn....... Nash played pretty good he got 28, 8, and 3, but the best player this game for the mavs was without a doubt Dirk Nowitzki.
What? The Mavs besat player this game was Walker. C'mon, he got a triple double. I watched the majority of the game, and I was quite disappointed at the loss. I was hoping hey'd pull it together on OT and carry on the momentum they had, but alas, they could not. Mavericks first win this season over an Eastern Conference team on the road.
Damn, it's a shame they made that awesome comeback, to only end up losing. Was a great game played by the Knicks at the end, Marbury finally breaking out of his shell in NY with 38 points and 14 assists, what a performance and clutch play from him.

Well the one thing I will say about the game last night was that it had the garden pumpin like the olden days. When Allan Houston drained that 3pter to tie the score ever one in the garden stood up as one. It was like they saw that old Larry Johnson 4 point play all over again. And its been a long time since you could feel the energy of the garden thru your tv. Thats the way the garden is surpose to be, even Isiah cracked his first in game smile. To bad the "Fire Chaney" cheers started once the Knicks collapsed in OT. But at least the Knicks gave somewhat of an effort on the defensive end in the 4th quarter, limiting the hot shooting Mavs to 14pts in the quarter. The problem was they gave up 101 thru quarters 1,2,3.
could this be a sign of things to come....if the Knick play like this offensivley look for them to make sum noise!!
