i know.. i'm new here. i do want them to say.. i posted that in another thread of mine elsewhere.. but common sense wise, i know they won't.. especially depending in the championship this year.. plus okafor is ready to graduate to begin with.. he has all his credits done. bg is a good pg... except he doesnt play it as much as he should because taliek is still around.. gordon handled the ball well tonight went taliek went to the bench. (DUE TO LAME CALLS BTW ) plus.. you forgot something important.. DEFENSE.. jason terry doesnt play defense.. other than that, when you think about it, they are a bit similiar.. but i'd take ben gordon anyday.
Well.. Your talking nuts.. Shaq is the best center in the NBA.. Hands down.. Trading him for anything is stupid... Charlie Villanueva is way to young to come out.. Sure hes good... But he needs to consider waiting a couple years.. He could very well be a High First Rounder in years.. The Cav's would be stupid to draft Ben Gordon.. LeBron is the point guard... and i am sure once they decide to move him over.. Wagner will take over.. The cavs would be perfectly fine without him.. You can't controll where UCONN Players are gonna go.. If they are going to go to a team like the Magic or the Hawks.. Accept it.. They are good players.. Going to teams that desprately need them..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kobe35plus:</div><div class="quote_post">1 - lakers are not trading shaq for rights to emeka 2 - cleveland doesnt need any type of guard they have wagner and lebron and finally 3 - the lakers arent gettin charlie villuenava</div> yeah wagner has done quite a bit since he's been with the team. (SIGH) not to mention he isn't a point guard, he's a two... and lebron isn't going to play point his whole career either.. if it was up to me, he'd be the 2/3 easily. how do you know what the lakers will and will not get? you can always trade for draft picks.. do whatever it takes. who knows? i want him to go there, though odds are he won't wind up there.

THANKS. i know he's the best.. but he's getting old-er.. and injuries season after season after season.. why not trade him now, while you can STILL get something for him? quality in return? that's my focus. thanks again. way too young to come out? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? do you see all the kids that come out? tyson chandler, eddy curry, kobe, kg, amare, lebron, kwame brown.. they were pretty young to me when they came out. though 3 of them absolutely suck. lebron is NOT A POINT GUARD! he didnt play a point guard in elementary school, he didnt play point guard in high school, and he WONT continue to play point guard in the nba! The cavs organization WANTS to draft a point guard! don't sit there and blame me. oh yeah, dajuan wagner, one dimensional dajuan wagner that shoots 30% from the field. he'll be great along side lebron... real great.
All of this Cavs talk and no one told me it was going on here? Let the Dr. operate.... LeBron James has done a good job as our point guard and can hold that position down in the future. Thing is, like the Cavs, I don't feel that is his best position. LeBron will slide down to that SF slot (6'8"/240 lbs.) where he can serve as a point forward (Think Pippen type) because we want him to run, we want him to be right there in the middle of the floor with athletes all around him. He can still set the teams offense up and get his assists, but he is going to be our number one scoring option and one of the best scorers in the league, you must take advantage of that. So having that said, I am drooling over the chance to get Ben Gordon. He is who I want, hands down (well, within reason of course) He can shoot (much needed), he is one of the more athletic player in the nation (40 inch vert), and he can finish with the best of them. PLEASE give us Ben Gordon!

My thought is, if someones smart enough to stay in college for two-three years.. they get the experiance.. Some cases are different, but thats my thoughts on him.. I was wrong about Lebron... I thought he should of went to college for a year or two.. just so it wouldnt be a drastic jump, but it wasnt a problem for him.. for some it might, i think Charlie should stick to college for another year.. It wouldnt hurt.. Hell he could be a high draft choice if he waits out another year.. Instead of having to be overshadowed by the other two Huskies.. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">lebron is NOT A POINT GUARD! he didnt play a point guard in elementary school, he didnt play point guard in high school, and he WONT continue to play point guard in the nba! So i would not know about Wagner's Shooting percentage or all that.. I also said "The Cav's would be stupid to draft Ben Gordon.. LeBron is the point guard... and i am sure once they decide to move him over.. Wagner will take over.. The cavs would be perfectly fine without him.." I said nothing about Lebron staying at point guard.. Sorry if I don't follow the Cavs or know enough about them to state my opinion on if they need a guard or not.... But ive heard alot of people talk about Wagner as the Point Guard in the future..
I'll clear some more things up... Wagner will never play PG in the NBA. James again is best suited for the SF. Ollie...backup at best. Cavs need a PG.
if you get gordon you can have a backcourt of gordon and wagner with lebron at the "point forward" position
I would rather have Wagner off the bench with Williams, Battie, and Kapono. Gordon and Wagner in the back court would be too small for my liking. I want a deep threat at the 2 with Gordon at the point and James at the 3. With James getting hurt, Z suspended, and Miles missing, looks like the Cavs won't be wining anytime soon. Give us Gordon now!
let's not forget wagner is a ball hog and will want to hoist 30 foot three pointers every other trip down the court. he's a poor man's allen iverson.. and allen iverson has a lot more heart and a lot more passion that dajuan wagner will ever have, and he's matured quite a bit. omg someone brought up KAPONO. LOL. oh man.. and props to King James for agree-ing w/ me on ben gordon! good luck in the draft! (i'm glad someone understands what i'm talking about here!) hell.. kevin ollie wasn't THAT bad when he actually got PT w/ the cavs last year.. why he doesn't get that much this year, is beyond me.. i do recall him leading the nba in assists to TO ratio.. which is the key part of being a point guard, no?.. to run the point.. another former uconn stud.. while we're at it, the cavs might as well go find ricky moore! greatest uconn defender (other than okafor, for obvious reasons).. that i've ever witnessed.. *SIGH* you know.. there are a plenty of teams in the nba that i just despise and would hate to see any of the uconn players get traded to or drafted to.. and the cavs are not one of them, they are acceptable. i want them to have the opportunity to win and not get screwed over by stupid management. <font color="Red">Please stop the double and triple posting, read the entire thread before posting. - KJ</font>

What about Taliek Brown...He's a flashy guard, he just needs to add some substance to his game...he won't get drafted that's for sure, so we're probably getting our last glimpse of him this year, and that's too bad...
taliek brown is pure leadership, defense, and assists. i dont know where he'll go.. worse people have been drafted. it's been fun having him at uconn though. "Please stop the double and triple posting, read the entire thread before posting. - KJ" i do read the entire thread. shut up and leave me alone, that sounds better. i'm not causing trouble and fighting with members, i'm talking about basketball.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting okaforever:</div><div class="quote_post">shut up and leave me alone, that sounds better. i'm not causing trouble and fighting with members, i'm talking about basketball.</div> That is no way to talk to a higher power now, is it? I am the last person you want on your case at this site homie. It's in the sites best interest and is actually a guideline, no double/triple posting, help make the threads a little easier to scroll through for everybody. Now let's get this <font color="Red">back on topic</font> as of this very moment.
OMG, this has got to be the worse post that I've ever seen. Shaq will never get traded. Okafor is good, and he should simply become another Carlos Boozer... an undersize, but athletic, and strong PF/C. I'm not saying Okafor will slip in the draft like Boozer did, but talent wise, and future wise, that's the type of player I envision Okafor becoming.
so basically you just compared carlos boozer.. to emeka okafor. sorry, no. nobody said shaq is going to get traded. and why the "never".. like it can't ever happen?..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting okaforever:</div><div class="quote_post">so basically you just compared carlos boozer.. to emeka okafor. sorry, no.</div> I'll defend that side of it. Boozer is an established every day double double guy, and how many times have we see big guys come into this draft and flop. I love what I see in Okafor and personally believe he will do very well, but nothing is a guarantee. Boozer is a more accurate comparison than The Diesel.
Thank you, King James. I'm sure you guys are all aware of how good boozer has been playing. He's not only a day-in/day-out double-double player, he's stepping up in becoming the leader of the Cavs. With Lebron being the center of attention and out for a few games, Boozer has the leadership, maturity, and experience (at least an awesome College experience at Duke) to be the type of leader that the Cavs need. I doubt Okafor can bring those kinds of intangibles to an NBA team. I do not doubt, however, that Okafor will be a better shot blocker than Boozer. Okafor is pretty awesome. Just like Carlos Boozer is pretty awesome. As for Shaq getting traded for Okafor!? THAT, we will never see. Shaq getting traded for "SOMEONE"?? mmm... Okay, perhaps. But like someone previously said, "unless it's for KG..." it ain't gonna happen.
I think after all role players successfully pursued in Cleveland like Kedrick Brown, Eric Williams, Tony Battie, Jeff McInnis (pg pos. locked here!)... what the cavs are looking from next year's crops is either a big man with real presence (they are considering to trade Z) like Emeka or a reliable scoring sidekick for LBJ like Charlie. As for the Lake show, there's no way shaq's big contract can be replaced with a rookie's. I'm a huge fan of KB8 before LeBron brainwashed me, but I think KB will go after this season to somewhere else to get his own team, esp. if the Lake can't win again this season, which is very possible with potential injuries loomin them.
