What do you think is the best team right now that's playing with injuries to major stars/contributors?

I'd say the Timberwolves. Even though the Kings don't have Cwebb, Chris isn't as needed in the regular season. Also, only Cwebb is injured, not everyone else on the super deep Kings. The Timberwolves are missing Wally Szczerbiak (usually 18 PPG), Michael Olowokandi (usually 10 PPG, 8 RPG), Troy Hudson (usually 15 PPG, 6 APG), and Gary Trent (8 PPG, 5 RPG). Those are 5 key players! And we still won against New Orleans! Those four players I listed would be our 4-7th men, right after the Big Three. Name one team that has more injuries to key players and contributors that's still winning. More than half of what was going to be our "Super Seven" is injured! Guess what, we now lead the Midwest division with the Spurs' loss tonight!

Give me teams missing more key players, and name those players. Please don't mention the Lakers. They only have GP now, and they'll probably start losing soon.

The Kings. They're #2 in power rankings aren't they? Well, they are doing great without C-Webb.

    Timberwolves by far

    They Have been without

    Wally Szczerbiak
    Troy Hudson
    Michael Olowokandi

Basically all season yet they keep on rolling. Some of the media seem to downplay who they are missing. To have the record they have at this stage without those key players is impressive.

You're right, the T-Wolves are pulling off a great season so far without Wally,Troy and Michael.

    My Line-up when everyone returns.

    PG:Sam Cassell
    SG:Wally Szczerbiak
    SF:Latrell Sprewell
    PF:Kevin Garnett
    C:Michael Olowakandi

The Kings record is impressive without Cwebb, but look who they have! Great chemistry, due to most of the players from last year's squad still playing, Sac's chemistry is awesome.

For the record, the only one from last year's Twolves squad currently playing is KG. And he almost got injured tonight by nearly spraining his ankle. Luckily, Sam Cassell worked his alien magic on KG's foot, and it was okay again! But back to the topic, we're missing a potential 40-60 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists from our team every night! The only reason we've been playing so well is that every night, some odd man on our bench is able to score 10-15 points, and the Big 3 take care of about 65 points.

The Kings (and the Spurs) have the luxury of depth. I remember a stat in the local newspaper that said without KG, the Wolves usually score 37% less than the opposing team and shoot a lot worse.

Our roster is 3 deep, period. Both the Kings (Spurs too) rosters are 7-10 people deep. I'd mention the Lakers if they were winning, but they just can't consistently win games without their 2 big men starters of Shaq and Malone.

Tell me one team that has gone through so many changes, has so many current injuries to key stars and contributors, and has among the most unknown bench in the league, yet still manages to have 2nd seed in the Western Conference, or ay great seed for that matter. If the Timberwolves win against San Antonio tomorrow, it'd really be a statement to the solidity of our team.

Last year the Kings went through the entire year while suffering injuries to several key players

Mike Bibby was out because of a broken foot suffered during training camp

Bobby Jackson broke his hand on Christmas Day

C Webb had the knee injury

and several other players were sideline with smaller injuries including vlade divac

    Lakers, why not? [IMG]

Alright, seriously, I'm not saying the Kings play the best with injuries. They have another great player in Brad Miller to fill in for C-Webb. Yeah, Brad is no Webber, but he is probably the best back up you could have to fill in for a team like this. I'm going to have to say the T-Wolves, their missing a good shooter in Wally, and a power Center in Kandi Man, and still playing well.

The Lakers HAVE to be the worst team to play with injuries, especially when it's to their star players (like it is now).

That said, the Kings and the Wolves are two great teams that have deep benches. We've seen depth from the Kings for the past 2 years, and they've proven taht they can play with numerous injuries to various positions, because their players have proven to be able to step in to different roles and produce immediately.

Other than these 2 teams, I think that the Hornets did a pretty good job without Mashburn. He was arguably their best player (well, at least before this year), and he was out for almost half the season. Yet, they continue to win games and are one of the Eastern Conference leaders.

My vote is for the Sonics. They've played almost the entire season without Ray Allen, but have still managed to stay above .500 and in the hunt for a playoff spot. The TWolves have a stacked squad this season, so it's hard to gage whether Wally, Kandi, or Hudson will even contribute significantly when they get healthy.

The Sonics found two young talents with the absence of Ray Allen, in Flip Murray and Richie Frahm. Two unknowns stepping up to fill Ray Ray's minutes and scoring makes them the best team playing with injuries.

I talk to Pure all the time lol, so I'll vouch for him and speak highly of KG. Timberwolves are a real fighting team, they're doing well without players who greatly contribute to the game, but then again, the three alone have great ability on both ends of the floor, meaning Spree has speed and stealing ability, Cassell has passing and handling ability and then there's KG, the big man, he does everything but shoot three pointers.

The thing is, they're doing so well because they're good, hard workers and have great team chemistry. And just to note....KG rules!

Twolves of course. The big three is doing what the big six should be doing. So basically, those three are working double time
