I keep hearing from the Vanilla one, everyday, that the 2 QBs are close, in fact, he states they are about even in every category, but he hasnt decided who to go with....WTF?....you have 2 QBs who are even, one has been in the system 5 years, one for 5 months, one is in his mid-30s, the other is 27.....one has a noodle arm, then other, above avg arm strength....by all accounts, Jay Fiedler has every advantage over Feeley, with the experience and age factors, but he cant pull away, that tells me all I need to know about the QB duel....Is there any reason not to play the kid who was put behind the 8 ball, and kept the competition even? Consider that Fiedler has likely peaked while Feeley will get better with system experience....Clearly, Feeley is just as good, has a stronger arm, will improve throughout the year, and is much younger...where is the dilimma? Oh yeah, lame duck coaches dotn worry about the future, since they dont have one....
Very good points, beef! I've also heard DW is toying w/ the idea of a 3 WR set. If I were Dave & knew my ass was in a sling then I would be pulling out all the stops even if they require some creativity & unconventionality in order to save my job. Vanilla Dave talks colorfully but thats it. Actions, last I checked, still speak louder than words.
I am a firm believer that in a lot of cases, the evil you know is better than the evil you dont. However, in this case, I think if they are even, you try Feeley. You pretty much know what Fiedler is going to give you, so if that isn't good enough, give something else a shot.
So, If I understand this? Feeley is the lesser of 2 evils. A J has more upside. So, why not prepare for the future in the present? The season IMO was lost when Boston went down.
well the season was in doubt when ricky left because of thier good defense but then Boston gone was the icing on the cake u need some offense to win games
