talked about during the mavs vs. knicks the other night. (isiah and cuban).. the mavs are pathetic.. kurt thomas won't make them a slight bit better. one half decent defender doesn't make up for four other players on the court. i don't like antawn in ny either.. i don't really know what the knicks should do.. i like the backcourt of marbury and houston.. very nice.. all they're missing really is a more effective big man, because dikembe isn't DIKEMBE anymore.. and kurt thomas, othello.. please. i don't have a suggestion on who they should go after.. but they need that, and a better bench.
I say we get jamison then trade jamison,othella, shannon anderson, a future second round pick for kwame brown,juan dixon and washingtons first round pick also lets say this trade does go down and washingtons pick turns out to be #1 who do you think the knicks would take???

Even if they do, the knicks souldn't trade Jamison.
Deff not a good deal for both sides......why dont the Knicks just stick with Kurt....hes a huge asset to the team....he rebounds and plays very physical and he also has the ability to drain the short j...they should keep kurt a knick!!
This doesnt really benefit the Knicks imo, they have enuff scoring with Marbury, Houston, & Van Horn. Just let those three gel together & you have a decent big three. Kurt thomas brings to much to this team. He is their best low post persence on both ends of the court. He can play both power forward & a little center. And with Dikembe age & Doleac being in/out of the rotation all the time, that is an insurance policy to have a guy who can move over to the 5 spot & produce good numbers. By adding Jamison it would seem to me that the Knicks are just trying to head into the same direction Dallas is already at. Get a bunch of scores & try and out score everyone. But as Dallas is seening that method only takes you so far. Come playoff time, when teams start to pick up there defense, you need people that will allow your team to get Defensive stops, Kurt thomas, shannon Anderson, & Dikembe are the only defensive minded players the knicks have left. Stephs getting better on defense tho. Bad trade for the Knicks. Maybe if Knicks dont have Van Horn than the trade might seem more likely.
