I?d love to see this game, who you think the starters would be? maybe something like this?

    Kidd - Bryant - Garnett - Duncan - O'Neal

    vs

    Nash - Stojakovic - Nowitzki - Gasol - Yao

    Who would win?

The international side would have no chance at all. Like the post above they have no bench at all and the US still has way more talented players that should be playing in the allstar game above parker and divacs.

I admit that the gap is getting close between the US and the world but it's not like the NHL where in every team there is at least 1 third international players. I would give it 7-10 more years for something like this to happen.

But yeah I would give the US the win by 20(and thats generous)

Well, do you consider Duncan World or USA? He was born in the Virgin Islands, so depending on how you look at it, that could influence what team he is on.

USA by a landslide, the only starter for international samo caliber as any of the USA all stars is Dirk.

BTW Virgin Islands are US territories so TD should be on the US team

What about Nash and Peja?? Gasol is a stretch but Nash and Peja are Allstars for sure....better than most Nba players

That would be a exciting game to watch, IF the USA team didn't have so much depth. They couldn't stand a chance against USA.

This would be a worthy game, and I hope it happens. USA have got the better lineups, but they've proven at the WBC that this alone want win you the game or tournament. Even at the Olympic qualifying tournament, the USA were determined to win at all costs, which they did, but they got a good run for their money from teams like Argentina and Puerto Rico. There isn't much rivalry between the international players, but a USA team fill of superstars should win easily enough but they have to play well together, and unselfishly, if they don't the international's should win. If a world vs. USA game doesn't work now, it will soon enough, each draft were getting international players with huge potential, Yao then Darko and this year should be Pavel Podkolzine.

Maybe in a couple of years when the World is catching up with us. Not now though, too easy and many Americans will get screwed because they are worthy of making it, but with the US talent they dont' make it, while guys such as Vlade and Nene would play when they don't deserve too.

Whichever team Duncan played on, chances are, they'd probably win. Both teams are great, and the addition of Duncan would just tip the table.

I will write the team that appeared in the official forum of ACB, the spanish league. First, I?ve got to say that you don?t put any player of European leagues, Noccioni, I would put him in the level of Ginobili.
Nash, Stojakovic, Yao, Nowitzki, Parker, Ginobili, Noccioni, Macijauskas, Ilgauskas, Kirilenko, Mutombo, Oberto. And what about Kukoc?

You sure about that? Duncan can easily be replaced by a Elton Brand, Jermaine O'Neal, or Ben Wallace.

Really impressive lineup, but I've got some for ya.

Shaq, KG, Kobe, T-Mac, Iverson, Kidd, Baron Davis, LeBron, Pierce, Ray Allen, Vince Carter, Artest, Marbury, Brand, J O'Neal, Ben Wallace.

USA would win, sure, but Europe is getting closer and closer, and be cautious, because in 10 years, Europe will be very far. Have you ever seen a european basketball match? It?s totaly different, they play like a team, all the teams.

Exactly. In the NBA, most teams are judged by their lineups at the start of the season. It's a reasonable indication, but it doesn't mean everything. If a team that doesn't have the lineup can play well as a team, they can beat teams with better lineups that don't play as well together. Just look at the Jazz and Bucks, who thought at this stage in the season they'd both be top 8 in their conferences? The international team will play together, there isn't much rivalry, and they should all get on, which will make a big difference.

Ummm I don't think Duncan gets to choose; whoever said so, I think they're wrong. He plays for the United States- he was on the team that played in the Olympic qualifiers this past summer, and he's on the Olympic team. I remember that he didn't play against the Virgin Islands when the US team played them- he sat out because he said he'd feel bad beating them.

I can't believe how biased you guys are with the US. I would still pick the US to win, but it would not be a landslide nor would I be shocked if we lost.

    Serious.
