I'm not saying that he's the best, but another very good mid-range shooter who's made a career in the NBA of his mid-range game is Calbert Cheaney. I never really noticed him before this season when he was with the Warriors; however, watching him play has made me appreciate his game.
Which player has the hottest wife? Which player has the best cars? Which players farts stink the worst? Which player would make the best host of a game show? Which player has the best pets? <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trail_Blazer76:</div><div class="quote_post">You are just being silly. How hard is it for Cassel to create his own shot? Not very, because defenders are focusing on KG and Spree as well. Besides, Ray Allen can do all of the things that you are bragging about Cassel doing.</div> If teams focus more on Spree than Sam, why is it most night sam is guard by the best perimter defender even if it isnt a point guard. And as for Ray allen yes he has a great mid-range but how much does he use it. He is more of a 3pt shooter. and if my opinions about hamilton & Houston are made only because Iam baised toward Sam please show me which one statements are false. You can be the best if you cant create your own shot. Why do you think Peja is now able to take to take his game to a new level because he can now create his own shot. He really couldnt do that before. He needed that excellent King ball movement to help him get his shot off.

These could be decent topics in off-season, but to keep making "Who's the best" topics during the season starts to get annoying.
Jeff McInnis, now with the Blazers was a great mid-range shooter when he was with the Clippers. I've lost track of him since he went there and got burried in the bench for one year, but that was his shot back then.
These threads are getting tired yes. Do you have a better one? If yes then post it. But does anyone have any other threads that haven't been tried in the NBA forum other than stupid topics like "Which NBA player's mom is the hottest?" No. This is a topic which interests me the most, if you guys don't want to post or even look at the post than don't, noone is holding a gun to your head. BTW if anyone has anything more interesting to say in the NBA forum then by all means post it.

How many times do you want me to say it. Iam a fan of KG just as much as you are.

In my opinion, Rip hamilton is the best midrange jumpshots, that is how he plays the game, come off screens and shoot, no one else relies on the midrange jumpshot like he does, plus he can make em, and he averages a good amount of points (20 i think).
Im going with Richard Hamilton on this one because he takes smart shots. You will not see any kind of run and gun play from him. He also gets around alot, and when you put him at the forward position, he's a nightmare with his quickness. I love his game, because it's so much like Reggie Miller's without the three point shots.
I think somebody metioned it above but I'll second it anyway. He aint the best, but Jeff Mcinnis is worth metioning. He's not a star, but he's mid-range game is top five in the league.
Sam Cassell definitely has the best transition shot and mid range jumper. An whole article in the Star Tribune, our local newspaper, was dedicated just to Sam Cassell's great midrange game. If shooting on a fast break, Sam knows that he has a much greater chance of making the shot 10-15 feet out than taking it inside. Sam Cassell is shooting 50% as a PG. How would you contest that with other midrange shooters?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The Prophecy:</div><div class="quote_post">Glenn Robinson and Sam Cassell have great mid range jumpers. I say one of those two.</div> Yeah they do. I've give Cassell the edge, though, because he can create his own shot.
You guys know that a player's FG% is all shots taken including 3 pointers, mid range shots, layups and dunks. You really can't go by a FG% to tell how good a shooter is from mid range. If Richard Hamilton's FG% was mid range only, he would be shooting somewhere from 65-75%. I haven't seen many games with Sam Cassell, so I can't say much about him.
