Today the players do have nicknames, but the media doesn't use it, nor do the fans. Back then it was Larry "legend" Bird...Here comes the "magic" man....Michael "air" jordan....Now nobody says The big Ticket is coming...or Rip just hit a 3...Shaq Diesel...They need to start putting their nick names out on the games, commercials, games, shirts, shows, etc.
