The Hornets have not dropped four straight contests since a five-game skid from January 6-15, 2003. New Orleans has won 19 of the last 24 meetings with the Raptors, including an 86-74 victory at Toronto on January 2 in the first meeting this season. In that contest, Baron Davis scored 22 points and P.J. Brown and Toronto native Jamaal Magloire each had double-doubles for the Hornets. </div> NBA.com Preview Keys to the Game From a Raptor's Perspective -The Raptors need to rebound well tonight, if they can't give the Hornets a hard time on the boards, they won't win. -Stay out of foul trouble: The Hornets are way to big on their front court, the Raptors need to stay out of trouble so their regulars can stay in as long as possible -Don't settle for Jumpshots, the Raptors need to drive to the hole, this became a problem late in the game against Detroit last night which cost them the game, everyone has to play smart tonight in order to beat a tough Hornet's squad. thefranchise3's Prediction: Hornets by 12
Good preview, short, simple and to the point. Haven't seen one of these types in my time here actually. I'm not too sure about who's better at defense since I never really get to watch these teams. But from the starting lineups and players, I'd have to say....well I can't decide, seems dead even to me. All I can say is good luck to both teams and their fans/supporters.
Vince injured his quads again....around the same area as before or the exact same area....not good at all....and to think, he was driving the ball like many of us had wished... ...not again hopefully its not too serious....
ouch...this really hurts, if hes injured for an extended period, i say raps close up shop, and rebuild lol.
Its a right quad strain, I'm not sure on how serious it is, but I doubt its bad. Atleast its not his knees.
First half passed and had a combination of good and bad news .. ! Raps are leading by 12 ( 47-35 ) .. great job from everybody at both ends .. We're shooting 48% and holding the hornets to 38% .. Vince went down in a drive .. the first report says that it's a strained right knee .. which is the same as Chris Bosh's injury .. Lamond Murray saw some court time and he hit a three .. second half is about to start .. and Vince is not expected to return ! .. Spawn .. the picture you have is an old one from the 2000-2001 season .. hopefully the injury ain't as serious ..
lol i know...good eye tho... i couldnt find a pic cause the game is just happening so just posted a pic of vince injured to express the situation
Wow, huge win. No vince or bosh and they come together to pull it off in overtime agaisnt a team who usually kills them.
Yeah...amazing game for the Raps. IMO, this was best effort they've put together in a game for the whole season. Alvin was clutch as always, and Lamond showed EXACTLY why he has been benched since about December 6 i think. He was pretty terrible and the only good thing he did was get a threee and a rebound. Big ups to Mo Pete, Rose, and Marshall. They all played really good together and demonstrated excellent offense and defense. They also proved that this team is not really in the hands of VC and that they can still get it done without him. If Carter's injury is serious...my hope for him will just about be finished.
Vince is listed as day to day. But i was really proud of Jalen roses effort. Jalen fouled out and he still pumped up his teammates. Mo Pete deserves alot of credit too for containing Baron Davis. Alvin played good down the stretch.
