Does Vince Carter fake injuries? Is he an actor at times??

I think so at times. You look at what happened and how he gets injured and you simply can't see it. He just happens to be injured off of innocent plays where nothing can be determined on how he gets injured.

I mean...how can you get injured by running into Stan Van Gundy??? How does he always get injured everytime by innocent looking moves??

I'm not just saying this because he just got injured last night but its something to ponder. I think Vince has stepped it up in terms of toughness this season but I still think that he acts out on some of his supposed injuries....

What does everyone else think?

 

I dont see how anyone in this league can fake an injury infront of professional doctors who do regular examinations. That's a insane thing to assume, I know people are angry that he got injured again but I hope this doesn't become another bash agaisnt vince in the future.

did you see the play in last years playoffs to chris webber...there wasnt even any contact, he just went up for an alley-oop and something "popped"

just because it doesnt look painfull to YOU, doesnt mean something didnt happen.

these guys are professionals, they want to play...can you give one good reason why a player would fake an injury

by the way, they also have professional trainers and doctors that look at them, and tell the coach to put them in the IL. you think a player puts himself on the IL?

No, I don't think he fakes his injuries. There is no reason why he would do such a thing. I think he seriously is just that feeble.

 

VC is a flop, but he doesn't fake injuries. Come on.

 

Hell no he dun fake his injury, but he IS the greatest drama king I know in the L. This guy lies on the court for at least 15 minutes like it's some kind of career-endin injury.

 

i don't think he faked it, that's a stupid comment!

vince is so athletic but he's an injury prone. although he leads the vote in all-star, who cares. if he's injured, then people won't see him play then they will get disappointed. it is just very disappointing to see him go down in his career caused by injuries. is he another grant hill?

No its not possible for him to fake an injury, but he is a drama king. I've even heard Chuck Swirsky say on a live broadcast that he tends to be dramatic when it comes to injuries. -- thats refering to the little ones he gets, not the torn ligaments or the serious ones.

 

lol...it's kind of ironic isn't it. Everyone says "Vince drive", "Vince be more selfish", "Vince don't be scared to get fouled" (Including myself). Then, when he starts listening, he gets inured. I guess in his first couple of years, he drained so many jaw-dropping plays out of his system that he's just become worn out now....but i still think this isn't a serious injury.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I'm confused now, I don't know whether to yell at the t.v. when he doesn't drive to the basket or just shoot a jump shot.

Yes he is dramatic, but think about it wouldn't you? Everytime he gets hit in the knees or leg he goes like "Oh crap.." and starts to feel if anything happened and tries to walk on it to see if everything is ok. Of course he would be dramatic after those injuries, everyone would be.

I am the biggest Vince critic, but there is no way he fakes his injuries. There are just some guys who are inury prone, and he is one of them.

 

no way...with all his jumping and the acrobatics he does, i'm not surprised he gets injured a lot, but theres no way he fakes it...professional athletes have a lotta pride...

 

Okay my bad, a player can't fake his injuries. But he does act like a drama king EVERY time he goes down. But he can't fake injuries.

 

Don't get me wrong I am a huge VC fan and go to the ACC to watch raps games a dozen or more times a season. But I think that everyone one has diff. reactions to pain. Some people can handle it better than others. I don't think that VC fakes injuries but I do think sometimes there is too much drama. Like the Van Gundy thing, most of us would fall to the floor then get back up holding our head or rubbing our eye or something. Not lay on the floor for a few min. Stuff like that is extra drama. Maybe he put a little extra on it to get people to stop asking him about the dunk contest?
