I know he's out of shape, but still could be a big body that the rockets need down low and too help backup ming. He still has some skills,strength, but lacks endurance and speed, which aint a big deal if he only plays for little spurts. He would get maybe 15-20max mins a game because after cato switches from PF to C, Cato usually gets over played because of the hole at the backup center position the rockets have now. Kemp could relieve Yao for 3-4 min intervals @ 3 threw the game. We already sign a nice PG in M.Jackson, the rockets dont really need wilks, so i say cut him. Does anyone know if Shawn Kemp is retired yet? and is he healthy?
I don't think we need to sign Kemp, who can be a really big problem for us in the future. We are good with Weatherspoon and Scott Padgett and I don't see any reason we need another post player.
No we DEFINITELY dont need another PF...Cato, taylor, Padgett, Weatherspoon...all are deserving of quality minutes, and I wouldnt be willing to cut one of them for a career underachiever with a questionable reputation...
