Ya'll know that Zo can't play no more...
i'm just curious who is the biggest victim of injury in NBA?
I know some guys went down and have disappeared from the scene...
    Larry Johnson and Alonzo....eh..who else?

Zo', that was a sad story. It almost happened to Carter, I believe it happened to Sabonis as well. Magic seemed to be affected at the time, his knees got weaker and he lost his stamina.

Sabonis, Grant Hill too, he could make Orlando one of the best teams in the East and in the league.

Probably Grant Hill is the biggest victim. He would be a MVP canidate every year if he wasn't messed up.

Both Juwan Howard and Webber were in some messes too weren't they? Webber got out of it though. Good examples of who didn't were Howard, Kemp and Baker.

I think Jay Williams was headed for something special I really do. I thought he had the talent to be a top 3 point guard in the league eventually if he didn't get in a bike accident.

Grant Hill is another, if he didn't get injured the Orlando Magic would probably be playing for the Eastern Conference Championship, but thats all speculation.

Williams has still time to develop... If he gets back in shape next year and can find his old level back he'll be good... I liked him too... If it weren't for Crawford and that bike accident he would be a top 5 point guard right now... Well, that's my opinion of course...

Magic Johnson can't be included in this because he wasn't injured..besides that he had a long, productive career.

He had a nagging back injury. He really wasn't the same after that injury..I think it happened in '95. But it stayed with him.

I know this isnt the biggest but how about bobby Hurley. He was one of the best college players in duke history. But when he got injuried in that offseason crash while he was on the Kings that pretty much ended any shot of him becoming a great NBA player. And has anyone else noticed the Duke connect to bad luck? Grant Hill, Jason Williams, Bobby Hurley all great player while at duke have had major injury set backs in their NBA carreer.

I was just going to say that if/when Jason Williams comes back he could end up being like Bobby Hurley a solid if not spectacular player because of his injuries. This robs us of seeing any kind of greatness from this kid.

ralph sampson. number 1 overall pick. 7'4" version of KG. he and dream were in the nba finals before mj ever got out of the first round. if not for "the fall" he and dream could quite possibly have had multiple championships before 93-94.

floundered in the league for a few years after the injury, i think eventually filed for bankruptcy when he couldnt pay child support.

I think Len Bias could be considered tragic as well. This kid was supposed to lead the Celtics with Bird and before he could play one game he OD'd.

Grant Hill...if he and Mcgrady were completely healthy, Magic would be lookin at atleast 3rd or 4th in the East right now...

Vince Carter....is starting to come on the same path as Penny Hardaway kind of....he has to bounce back from this

Penny Hardaway....an excellent player till he started getting nagged by injuries

Larry Johnson....still prductive till '99 or so but not the same since '95 as someone said

Alonzo Mourning- If it wasn't for his illness, Zo would still be in the top of the center list in the East with Jermaine...

Bobby Hurley- had a chance to be better then even J-Kidd but that crash really changed him...never was the same, just a bench player for the Grizzlies...

Mamud Abdul-Rauf....i dont know the story behind him completely but was it an injury that set him back from the top or somehting else? cause i remember he was playing good in a denver....last time i saw him, he was with the grizzlies but i just got word that hes playing overseas...

Jay Williams- he still has time to bounce back

Abdul-Rauf,who used to be known as Chris Jackson at LSU,wasn't really plagued by injuries it was a 'political' event so to speak that really led to his downfall...although he did have tourettes...he wouldn't stand up for the singing of the National Anthem at the beginning of games because he said it went against his religous beliefs..and,in my opinion,he was kind of blackballed after all that

Oh I remember Simpson...i watched him in the "Behind the glory" on TV and he was one skinny tall guy who was dunking over everybody. Was he playing by Hakeem's side? I'm not quite sure but ye his career ended soon i think...
Can we add Sean Elliott to the list as well?
