ESPN Insider is reporting that Orlando and Toronto are burning up the phone lines. They have reached in principle to the primaries of a trade involving the Magic sending Juwan Howard, Andrew DeClercq to the Raptors for the disgruntled Lamond Murray, retired Eric Montross (and his hefty salary coming off the books) and a draft pick. There would be others involved but they have agreed to the principles of the trade. Don't quote me on this, I just read this on Basketball.net.. Yall think this trade will work???
I don't know how serious the Magic would be by making this trade. But if it does work out it could be great for the Raptors. Juwan Howard gives another post presence possibly off the bench and reunites him with Jalen Rose. Declerqe(spelling?) is a tough player and rebounder who will mix it up. This trade would give a lot of size to the Raptors which is what is needed. If GG makes this trade it could turn the Raptors into a serious contender for the East.

Archibald is just like Declercq and we have Marshall and Bosh.

They would give us two experienced players off the bench other than archibald and Baxter?

We have Masrhall who plays the same position and is doing alot better. Archibald is younger, cheaper, bigger then Declercq and Works just as hard. Montross is some cap relief that keeps us out of luxery tax.

When it comes to that time its all about experience and I believe they would give the Raps a good chance at contending for the East at least. Does this conversation even matter since they are not gonna be in a raptors uniform any time soon?? hahahaha

The deal is fake.
im with kid canada, we do NOT need juwan howard. id MUCH rather have donyell marshall. if we got juwan, we'd never be able to resign donyell whos a free agent this summer. donyell is more versitile, and a better rebounder. hes more consistant, court savvy and doesnt demand any touches. id rather have declerq then arch though. either way, its BS, so it dont matter
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting VinsanityMK:</div><div class="quote_post">Juwan would fit in toronto... if it wasn't fake it would be alright.</div> Juwan is a big ticket with no upside anymore. I don't know what happened to him, but once he signed his big deal a few years back, he became a shadow of the player he was I'd take Montross on one foot over Declerq -- he's a plug......
