Here is a nice artice about JWILL!

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jason Williams rejoined the Grizzlies' rotation Dec. 19. However, it's taken this long for him to resurface as the point guard teammates have grown accustomed to seeing.

He's scurrying around the court, giving the team's fast break added turbo while filling statistical lines with plenty assists and few turnovers. The 3-pointers are falling again. Well, enough of them. And Williams is even driving to the basket - something often demanded but hardly seen.

Today's game against the Philadelphia 76ers marks Williams's 15th since he came back from an awkward upper back strain. He sat out 10 games and then mostly struggled to regain sharpness during the first two weeks of his return. </div>

Yeah I'd say J-will is a big part of the Grizz playoff push he has to be a leader and keep the wins going. Hope that blurred vision clears up. Nice win over the Iversons I mean Sixers.

I think the Grizzlies are better off without him. He doesn't think before he shoots; he just jacks up shots. Although he has a high assists-per-game average, he needs to me a little less selfish. Brown has supposidely tamed Jason Williams, but all that means to me is less turnovers. Williams will still throw up every wild shot he can take. The Grizzlies have been winning because of unselfish play by players who would demand a lot of shots on any other team, like Bonzi Wells and Mike Miller (did not attempt a field goal in the first half of the Sixers game). If Williams could think team first and stats second, the team would be a lot better.

Note: I realize that there are a lot of Jason Williams fans on JustBBall.Com; so before I am accused of being a 'hater', I might as well say that I am just being realistic and I do not have a grudge against Jason Williams.

You should have caught some J-will games back in the rookie days in Sac, he'd put up shots you wouldn't believe. The other day I was watching the playoffs from 99 vs the Jazz he came down pulled up about 5 feet beyond the 3 with Stockton right in his face. So either due to Hubie or just maturing he has turned it down a little. A lot the the bad shots he takes in transition which keeps the game moving at an up and down pace which the Grizz want. What is your proof for Bonzi being unselfish?

The last 7 games JWill and Posey played really well if the GRIZZ want to make the playoffs they need JWILL to play good. Miller has struggle for like 10 games is not JWILL fall is WELLS becuase wells takes like 13 shots a game off the bench and he dosent shoot a good %. Miller is just off right now!

I saw his games. The shot that stands out in my memory was the shot he took in a first-round playoff game. The Kings were down by two against the Suns. With about ten seconds left on the shot clock; Williams took a three with Jason Kidd's hand right in his face. Williams airballed the shot and the Suns won.

I didn't watch many games then, but I find it hard to believe that Williams was ever less of a hacker than he is now. He may have improved, but that doesn't mean there isn't still room for improvement. He still has a poor shot selection.

Unselfishness won't always jump right out at you through stat sheets and media coverage. Bonzi Wells was a real hot-head in Portland; he put himself above the team. The first sign of his unselfishness in Memphis was accepting his roll on the bench. Wells could easily start on almost any other team in the NBA, but instead of becoming upset he took the team-first approach and worked with the youngsters on the second line. Also, while Wells' shots per game average has not decreased much, his field goal percentage has gotten a lot better. That's a sign that he's being more selective about his shots and not just throwing up the rock every time he is given it, like I feel Jason Williams does.

Ok I'll go with you that Bonzi is doing what's best for the team. I hope Bonzi continues to accept his role but I am sure he didn't have any problems his first year in Portland. There's always a good grace period like when a team plays really well in a new coach's first game. Only time will tell if he is truely unselfish. Next game just watch I'd say a large percentage of J-will's "bad" shots come in a fast break situation which in a way helps the Grizz tempo. Sometimes its better to take a shot and keep the flow going then getting bogged down and playing a stagnant half court offense. Good memory about that J-will vs. the Suns game I think he came back and made some big shots in I believe it was game 3 with that huge fade away over Gugliotta and everybody was going crazy defnitely one of favorite Kings moments.
