Wheatley is the man for now. Fargas might end up the starter by the end of the year and it looks like Zereoue is the 3rd down back for now.
Wheatley is the man for now. He looks strong so far. Heavy hitter up the middle kind of strong. You punch me, I punch you back kind of strong. Got a good look at Fargus on Saturday. He made some moves that remind me of Marcus, including an over the top plunge where he took off from the four. Not saying he's another Marcus, but he has a lot of the same smoothness in his cuts and he changes direction with fluidity (is that a word?).
I haven't been too impressed with what I've seen from Zeroue so far. He had a nice cut-back last night, but that's about it. If his salary is small enough, I guess we could hang onto him. He shouldn't be any higher than #3 HB in my opinion.
It doesn't look like he will be any higher either. He spent most of camp injured and you can't impress anyone on the bench injured. He had his moments in Pittsburgh and needs a strong O-line and balanced passing game to be succesful.... but who doesn't?
