I was worried about Alvin at the beginning of this year when he struggled with his offence. I was to the point where I was starting to think that maybe Alvin was the type of guy that couldn't produce in a structured system, because of how he struggled under Butch Carter and at that point O'Neill, both guys that actually ran an offense, while thriving under Lenny, who I think ran about two and a half plays in three years

I'm glad to see how he's come around and proved me OTL on what I was seeing. I hope he retires a Raptor -- the guy is class and so under-rated. To me you can't have enough guys like him and Donyell Marshall who don't say a lot, but just get after it on the floor and make good things happen

He's tougher than a three dollar steak as well......

yea man...very well said. i was really worried about him too at the beginning of the year, but he showed us exactly what kind of player he is by comming back to his form. guys like him and donyell are the type of players who just go out there and let their game speak for itself, and its speaks volumes. i really hope the raps can resign donyell in the summer.

and id like to quote homer simpson in reference to alvin: "straight teeth, smells okay, class act all the way"

When i saw him playing gainst hornets i thought he'd never wanne pass, always getting through the defense and shooting by himself. But he's darn good when he shoots and stuff. Hope he can get even better without Carter in the team and gets his place in the whole structure. Yeah and Donyell is just a must if we wanne win.

Alvin plays with more injuries then AI in my opinion. He'll stay in the game with a broken right leg, broken left leg, broken right arm, broken left arm, broken body, ribs, face and neck.

Yeah...if they made a game where people had signature moves, Alvin would have his DEEP crossover that he's so good at. It looks so clean and leaves him open for a pretty open shot. I just love it when he does it.l

well, to be fair, that was the year before they resigned alvin to his huge contract, and the end of that season, plus the 2001 year and since have really been his best years as a raptor. that year he was injured lots and didnt play much.

oddly enough, that deal was for danny fortson, who we could really use right now...but alvin is great for the team, and we need him too

Alvin is one of the most underrated players on the Raptors much less the NBA, I think a lot of people outside of Toronto are looking at this thread and saying "who?". He plays the best perimeter defence out of anyone in Toronto and he regularly makes the bigtime clutch plays.

Alvin is one of those players that who can have an off night for three quarters but when the fourth quarter comes and his team is down he takes and makes the shots.

Can't say enough about this warrior

Amazing player. Just plays through any type of injury and has that wicked pull-up crossover.

Yeah I love Alvin, I hope he can stay a Raptors forever, just for always being that warrior. I also believe that he can cross anybody up when he wants to, but he restrains himself in a game environment(compared to Vince's Summer All-Star games, he brings all sorts of sick crosses.) And that cross he pulls every two or three games where he has the defender sliding with that big jab step of his and he's wide open for the shot, is amazing! It always gets me riling, even more so when he makes the shot. He has a big heart and is always clutch. By no means is he an all-star, but I love of his effort and his solid play for a role player. I'm pleased with the way he's playing now considering how didn't have an offseason to work on his game because of his injuries.
