Glen Rice?

    I was thinkin how Rice would be a nice pickup for the Pistons...someone who can provide an outside shooting spark off the bench...the Pistons lack a consistent perimeter threat (besides Billups), and Rice can bring 3-point firepower in short minutes...

    Lack a consistent perimeter threat? I consider Atkins and Prince to be perimeter threats. However, Atkins is more consistent of the two.

    I wouldn't pick anybody else up until whatever chemistry the team has found dies. We're winning with our current roster and there is no need to change that.

    i would envision Glen Rice riding the pine, right next to Hubert Davis.

    they can have three point contests during practice :P

    Hubert Davis > Glenn Rice

    And Hubert never plays

    Enough said really

    Rice needs to go to a team lacking experience,all he can give a team now is vet leadership.

    I don't see Glen Rice in a Pistons uniform ever. I couldn't even imagine him getting any playtime the whole season.

    Glen Rice is about a decade past his prime. Usually when teams pick up players at this point in the season it's because they need immediate help, but Rice would only bring long-term veteran leadership that the Pistons could do without. Mitch Richmond has just about as good of a chance of being signed by the Pistons as Glen Rice does.

    If the Pistons were genuinely looking for a three-point threat then they should take a look at Darnell Archey, who graduated from Butler last year. Archey broke the NCAA's free-throw record and won the NCAA three-point contest. He's a pure shooter, but lack of defense and ball handling skills have kept him out of the league.

    I agree, Glen Rice is like a worn out NVE or B Diddy. He takes the shots he shouldn't, but unlike them he doesn't make them. People like him and Oakley are better off retired. Try to get your hands on someone good in next year's draft till then.

    What are you talking about? Baron Davis has bad shot selection and shoots one of the league's worst field-goal percentages, but Glen Rice has a decent shot selection and is one of the ten best three-point shooters of the nineties. You've got the two players mixed up.
